Queen Elizabeth II Laid To Rest In Royal Funeral Attended By World Leaders

Queen Elizabeth II was laid to rest Monday, alongside her late husband Prince Philip the Duke of Edinburgh, at the King George VI memorial chapel. The Dean of Windsor conducted a private burial ceremony for her family.

Earlier in the day, world leaders and dignitaries joined King Charles III and the Royal Family at a state funeral at Westminster Abbey.

Hundreds of thousands lined the route as the Queen's coffin was taken on a gun carriage through London and then by hearse to Windsor. Royal Canadian Mounted Police led the procession.

Queen Elizabeth died on September 8 at her castle in Balmoral, Scotland. Her oldest son Charles is now the King of United Kingdom and the Commonwealth realms.
