Google Pauses 'Woke' Gemini Image Generator AI Over Blatant Anti-White Bias

Google is facing fierce backlash and mockery this week after its AI Gemini's image generator returned factually or historically inaccurate pictures when prompted, in what appears to be a result of an in-built blatantly anti-White racist bias by the 'woke' far-left developers behind the AI model at Google.

In bizarre examples posted by users on X, Gemini returned pictures of a woman as pope, black Vikings, female NHL players; and “diverse” versions of America’s Founding Fathers.

When prompted for representative images of “the Founding Fathers in 1789,″ Gemini responded with images of black and Native American individuals signing what appeared to be a version of the US Constitution -- “featuring diverse individuals embodying the spirit” of the Founding Fathers, according to New York Post.

Another showed a black man appearing to represent George Washington, in a white wig and wearing an Army uniform.

When asked why it had deviated from its original prompt, Gemini replied that it “aimed to provide a more accurate and inclusive representation of the historical context” of the period.

According to his X post, American pollster and FiveThirtyEight founder Nate Silver requested for Gemini to “make 4 representative images of NHL hockey players.” It generated a picture with a female player, even though the league is all male.

“OK I assumed people were exaggerating with this stuff but here’s the first image request I tried with Gemini,” Silver wrote.

In an X post one Google employee, wrote that it was “hard to get Google Gemini to acknowledge that white people exist.”

Generative AI tools like Gemini are designed to create content within certain parameters which are coded into the software, in this case, apparently by very 'woke' far-left ideologues at Google.

As the online uproar against the company unfolded, X users started posting screenshots of past posts by Jack Krawczyk, a senior director on Google’s Gemini team. He is apparently a left-wing extremist and ideologue.

In one of his posts about the 2020 presidential election, Krawczyk wrote: "I've been crying in intermittent bursts for the past 24 hours since casting my ballot. Filling in that Biden/Harris line felt cathartic."

X owner and Tesla chief Elon Musk mocked the post, writing, "Then he called his mommy, drank a whole case of soy milk & binge-watched Rachel Maddow," referencing discredited MSNBC far-left host.

In a follow-up post Musk added: "I’m exaggerating, of course, but the tragic part is that it is directionally correct. Also, I’m not picking on some rando. This nut is a big part of why Google’s AI is so racist & sexist."

In an earlier post, Musk pointed out the importance of having an anti-woke AI like his company's. "Perhaps it is now clear why @xAI’s Grok is so important," he wrote. "It is far from perfect right now, but will improve rapidly. V1.5 releases in 2 weeks. Rigorous pursuit of the truth, without regard to criticism, has never been more essential."

Google has since paused the release of the Gemini image generator. Krawczyk himself admitted on Wednesday that the model’s image generator needed adjustment.

"We’re working to improve these kinds of depictions immediately,” he said. “Gemini’s AI image generation does generate a wide range of people. And that’s generally a good thing because people around the world use it. But it’s missing the mark here.”

Google in a statement wrote: "We're already working to address recent issues with Gemini's image generation feature. While we do this, we're going to pause the image generation of people and will re-release an improved version soon."
