A diary of US President Joe Biden’s daughter Ashley, which has now been confirmed as authentic by the FBI, was obtained by some media outlets in 2020.

Ashley’s 40-year-old’s diary is teeming with explosive revelations -- including repeated discussions of drug use, failed marriages, multiple affairs, and her problems with her father, whom she allegedly showered with in situations that “probably weren’t appropriate”

The diary also suggests that Ashley was sexually abused as a child.

“Was I abused?” Asks Ashley in the diary. “I think so,” she replies to her own question. She also wrote that she was "hyper-sexualized [at] a young age."

The FBI searched several apartments last year, as part of an investigation into the alleged theft of the diary.

Agents searched the homes of two employees of investigative news outlet Project Veritas on November 4, last year. The raids came a little over a year after the publication of the entire contents of Ashley’s diary by the news outlet National File.

A whistleblower reportedly told National File that the diary was “left at an address where Joe Biden’s daughter lived,” a Palm Beach 'halfway house' in Florida.

The diary was reportedly picked up by Aimee Harris who is currently under investigation. She allegedly sold it for $40,000 to Project Veritas.

The investigative news outlet on its part stressed that it had nothing to do with the release of extracts from the diary, but was approached with the diary, which it did not publish but handed over to the police.

James O’Keefe, founder and CEO of Project Veritas, in a video message after the raid last year, accused the FBI of trying to “silence” him.
