Andrew Tate and brother Tristan were detained overnight Monday local time in Romania on an European extradition warrant issued by Westminster Magistrates Court in London. The detention was over allegations of 'sexual aggression' dating back to 2012, which had previously been investigated and dismissed back then by British authorities because there was not enough evidence to prosecute.

An appeals court in Bucharest on Tuesday, ruled that Tate brothers should be released from police custody immediately. The brothers had been detained for 24 hours pending a ruling on the British arrest warrant. The court also approved a request from Britain to extradite Tate but postponed doing so until the conclusion of the Romanian trial proceedings.

The Tate brothers are still awaiting trial, as Romanian prosecutors flail in their search for evidence. The case has been widely criticized by legal experts for lacking merit, with many alleging that some elements of Romanian and foreign governments are engaging in political witch hunt against the brothers because of their considerable socio-cultural influence on the youth.

"We are innocent men, we are very innocent men and in time everyone is going to see that and we are very excited to finish this judicial process and clear our names," Tate said shortly after his release from police custody. "It's very funny because I've been asking Romanian courts to go to the U.K. myself. I've asked five times and been declined so now I get to go home. That's fantastic news."

The brothers' legal counsel Eugen Vidineac in a statement said: "We appreciate the Bucharest Court of Appeal's decision to postpone the extradition of Andrew and Tristan Tate. This ruling provides an opportunity for the brothers to participate fully in their defence and for the legal process to proceed in a transparent manner."

In remarks on their Emergency Meeting podcast late Tuesday, Tate brothers claimed that the 'matrix' -- a social media slang for a globalist cabal -- realized that the case against them is "falling apart," and is trying to use Romanian courts to "put them back jail" over a decade-old case that has already been dismissed by local prosecutors in UK.

Since their release last year from Romanian jail Tate and his brother Tristan have been under judicial control, a lighter preventative measure meaning they have regular check-ins with the police but can move around freely within Romania.
