Antifa, BLM Rioters Rampage Through Portland, Rochester

Far left Antifa extremists continued their rampage in Portland for the 100th night Saturday.

Police blocked hundreds of rioters from marching to a Southeast Portland police precinct. The rioters tried and failed repeatedly, over the course of the night to find a path to the precinct.

The gathering was quickly declared a riot after rioters started throwing molotov cocktails, rocks and other projectiles toward the officers.

A man was mistakenly set on fire by his fellow Antifa extremists as they tossed Molotov cocktails and explosive fireworks in residential neighborhoods. The man can be seen emerging from the flames with both of his legs on fire.

Police officers eventually rushed in to put out the fire and save the man.

Portland Police Bureau recounted the night's mayhem in a statement:

"At about 9:15p.m, as the crowd approached officers, individuals began throwing multiple fire bombs at officers. One of them caught a community member on fire. Officers later located the injured person and Portland Fire and Rescue medics offered treatment. The injured person was later taken to a hospital by private vehicle.

This criminal activity presented an extreme danger to life safety for all community members, and prompted a declaration of a riot. The crowd was advised over loudspeaker that it was a riot and they were to leave the area to the east immediately. They were warned that failure to adhere to this order may subject them to arrest, citation, or crowd control agents, including, but not limited to, tear gas and/or impact weapons. Individuals within the crowd began throwing illegal fireworks/mortars at officers. Others were seen throwing rocks. At least one had a “wrist-rocket” type of slingshot launching unknown objects. In order to defend themselves from these assaults, officers used crowd control munitions, including tear gas. Officers made numerous targeted arrests.

For the next four hours, the crowd appeared to meander through the Mill Park community, attempting to get to get around the police blockade and reach East Precinct. Officers moved ahead of the rioters to prevent them access. Rioters lit fires in the streets, including dumpsters, garbage cans, and wooden pallets. Officers moved in to push the crowd back in order to extinguish the fires.

During numerous confrontations with officers, individuals launched attacks on law enforcement, including throwing objects. A sergeant was directly struck by a commercial grade firework, which burned through his glove and injured his hand (photos). Several officers and troopers were struck by rocks in the head, arms, shoulders, and feet. Only their protective gear prevented serious injury. An Oregon State Police vehicle was damaged by rocks, including broken windows and dents (photos). An unexploded mortar was recovered by police (photo).

Over 50 people were arrested. At least two were wearing body armor. One had a dagger, another had a knife (photos). The names of those arrested and their charges will be released in a later update."

Antifa and Black Lives Matter extremists also took part in riots Friday night in Rochester, New York, over the death of Daniel Prude in a March 23 encounter with police.

Police dash and body cam video shows that at approximately 3:16 a.m., that fateful day, an officer approaches a naked Prude in the middle of a street with his Taser pointed at him and tells him to get on the ground and put his hands behind his back. Prude complies. He is told not to move and is cuffed.

After discussing a report that Prude said he had coronavirus, police then place a spit sock over his head as he sits on the street. When he becomes agitated, police put him on his stomach and hold him down. Prude stopped breathing shortly afterward. He died a week later.

The death was initially ruled a homicide by the Monroe County Medical Examiner, according to a copy of the autopsy report obtained by lawyers for his family.

Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren announced Thursday, that seven police officers involved in the encounter have been suspended.

Videos circulating online, shows masked Antifa and BLM extremists vandalizing restaurants on Alexander Street Friday night. They flipped over tables; and glass could be heard shattering, forcing diners to flee.

A third night of riots overnight Saturday, again ended with pepper balls, tear gas and fireworks, as police dispersed the violent mob.

Jesse Barksdale, was "livid" when he found out three of his U-Haul service trucks were destroyed in the riots.

Barksdale, a black man, placed a 'Proud to be Black Owned' sign outside the business, which ironically, was ignored by rioters.

Three officers were "treated at local hospitals for injuries sustained as a result of projectiles and incendiary devices which were launched against them," said Lt. Greg Bello in a news release.
