Video circulating online shows a mob of violent looters ransack and grab as much items as they can get at the Nordstrom luxury store in Topanga Mall in Woodland Hills Park on Saturday. According to Los Angeles Police Department, LAPD, the suspects got away with nearly $100,000 worth of handbags and clothes; and some estimates of millions in total cost to the store.
The mob, who're mostly dressed in black, attacked the security personnel with bear spray, entered the store, smashed the displays and scooped up valuables before running out, as seen in video clips of the incident on Gab.
The LAPD said at about 4 p.m. on Saturday, a mob of "criminals" stole items from the store. The suspects were seen inside the department store, running toward the front entrance and carrying bags, scooping up whatever merchandise they could and fighting off and tripping on racks that some items were still attached to.
A man who was sprayed with bear repellant was treated by paramedics, according to police.
"What happened today at the Nordstrom in the Topanga Mall is absolutely unacceptable," LA mayor Karen Bass said in part in a statement. "Those who committed these acts and acts like it in neighboring areas must be held accountable."
Saturday's incident was the second "flash mob" to take place in Los Angeles County within the past week. On Aug. 8, a mob of thieves was seen on video fleeing an Yves Saint Laurent store in Glendale, California in broad daylight, getting away with armloads of merchandise worth an estimated $300,000.
LA and many cities across America, run by left-wing politicians and the Democrat Party, are notoriously plagued with rampant violent crimes. These politicians, who are mostly funded by controversial globalist billionaire George Soros, pass laws decriminalizing most otherwise criminal actions like looting. Also, elected far-left district attorneys often don't prosecute most infringements, leading to such brazen theft as Saturday's incident at Nordstrom.
Saturday's incident left many local residents shaken and scared for their safety given such brazen criminality in broad daylight. Also Mayor Bass and other left-wing politicians were roundly condemned on social media, for their lackadaisical attitude to rampant crime in their cities.
