Dublin Stabbings By Muslim Migrant Injure 5, Trigger Anti-Migration Protests

Five people -- three children and two adults -- were injured after a Muslim immigrant went on a stabbing spree in Dublin on Thursday. The incident which happened near an elementary school in Parnell Square East just after 1:30 p.m. local time, has since triggered protests against illegal immigration in Ireland's capital.

According to eyewitnesses, the suspect was wielding a large knife and was eventually tackled by passers-by before police arrived on the scene and arrested him. But not before he critically injured five innocent people. The victims were reportedly transported to different hospitals across Dublin, including Children's Health Ireland at Crumlin and the Mater Hospital.

Irish police and emergency personnel responded to the scene and have sealed it off for a forensic examination, police said.

Police said a man who sustained serious injuries outside the school was a "person of interest" in their investigation, and they were "keeping an open mind" about any potential motive. The suspect, reportedly an Algerian immigrant in his 40s, is in police custody.

Ireland Justice Minister Helen McEntee said police are following a definite line of inquiry, and no other suspect is being sought.

"I am deeply shocked by the appalling attack on three innocent children and a woman," McEntee said in a statement posted to X. "All our thoughts are with those injured, especially with the children, their parents and families, during this extremely difficult period. This attack has shocked us all, and I have no doubt that the person responsible will be brought to justice."

Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar in a statement said: "We are all shocked by the incident which has taken place in Parnell Square. Our thoughts and our prayers go out to [the victims] and their families. I have been in contact with the Minister for Justice who is keeping me updated. The facts in this matter are still emerging."

As news of the stabbings spread on X, outraged residents took to the streets to demand that their far-left government end its open borders policy which has caused a mass migration of Arab and African migrants into the country, disrupting the economy and social fabric.

Addressing the nation on Friday, the far-left Prime Minister focused most of his remarks on smearing and condemning the protesters, and barely addressed the stabbings. He noted: “yesterday evening some people decided the best way to respond to this terrible attack would be to take to the streets of Dublin to try to terrify, intimidate, loot and destroy. Their first reaction to a five-year-old child being stabbed was to burn our city, attack its businesses, and assault our [police].”

Those who protested and rioted, Varadkar said, had “brought shame on Dublin, shame on Ireland, and shame on their families and themselves”, and were not real patriots. They are people, he said, who are filled with hate, who “love violence, love chaos, and love causing pain to others.”

34 were reportedly arrested on Thursday night and Irish media claimed the protests were the most intensive seen in Dublin for years. Vehicles including a police car, busses and trams were burnt.

Varadkar said government will crack down on the protesters, and pushed for updating of the so-called incitement to hatred legislation. CJ Bill (22) will make it a criminal offense in Ireland to possess "hate speech" on your phone or computer.

Far-left politicians in Europe have been pusing for more censorship on social media and have passed fascistic laws against political dissent and free speech.

Commenting on the PM remarks, X owner wrote: "And the government will define 'hate speech.' The people of Ireland should not stand for this!" In another post, the Tesla chief wondered whether the Irish government hates its people.

UFC champion Conor McGregor, an Irish himself, weighed in on the incident and the protests.

"Isn’t that something," he wrote on X. "The absolute picture of weak and feeble. The most divisive of all is the weak man. One of the most horrific crimes this nation ever seen has occurred, we do not care anymore what you sad cases have got to say. In a war you are nothing. We are not backing down, we are only warming up. There will be no backing down until real change is implemented for the safety of our nation. We are not losing any more of our woman and children to sick and twisted people who should not even be in Ireland in the first place. Call it what you want. We do not care. May God help us all. Ireland for victory."

In another post the popular MMA fighter made it clear he's opposed to any attacks against law enforcement officers.

“I do not condone last nights riots," he wrote on Friday. "I do not condone any attacks on our first responders in their line of duty. I do not condone looting and the damaging of shops. Last nights scenes achieved nothing toward fixing the issues we face. I do understand frustrations however, and I do understand a move must be made to ensure the change we need is ushered in. And fast! I am in the process of arranging. Believe me I am way more tactical and I have backing. There will be change in Ireland, mark my words. The change needed. In the last month, innocent children stabbed leaving school. Ashling Murphy murdered. Two Sligo men decapitated. This is NOT Ireland’s future! If they do not act soon with their plan of action to ensure Ireland’s safety, I will.
