GarageGate: Biden, Media Slammed For Hypocrisy As More Classified Documents Are Found At The Former Vice President's Delaware Home

Batch of classified documents was reportedly found late last year at Washington offices of the Penn Biden Center, a President Joe Biden-aligned think tank. Apparently the White House kept the discovery of the former president Barack Obama-era documents, from the public until this week's revelations; even as the administration hound Donald Trump over documents at his Mar-a-Lago residence, which the former president had said he declassified.

Biden left the vice presidency under Obama, on Jan. 20, 2017. Within weeks of leaving, he became the "Benjamin Franklin Presidential Practice Professor" at the University of Pennsylvania, an honorary position, and the "Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement" was launched in Washington, D.C., the next year. He was paid a total of $776,527 in 2017 and 2018, which was nearly double what full-time Penn professors reportedly made during the same time.

Additional classified batch of documents were found in storage space in the President's Wilmington residence garage in Delaware. "Lawyers discovered among personal and political papers a small number of additional Obama-Biden administration records with classified markings,..." White House lawyers admitted in a statement, Thursday. "One document consisting of one page was discovered among stored materials in an adjacent room."

The White House claims no documents were found at Biden's residence in Rehoboth Beach. Investigators have reportedly interviewed multiple people who were aides to the former vice president at the end of the Obama administration regarding the documents.

Attorney General Merrick Garland has on Monday, appointed John Lausch, the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois to investigate the matter.

According to Garland: "On the evening of Nov. 4, 2022, the National Archives Office of the Inspector General contacted a prosecutor at the Department of Justice and informed him that the White House had notified the Archives that documents bearing classification markings were identified at the office of the Penn Biden Center. On Nov. 14, pursuant to Section 600.2B of the special counsel regulations, I assigned U.S. Attorney Lausch to conduct an initial investigation. On Dec. 20, president Biden's personal counsel informed Mr. Lausch that additional documents bearing classification markings were identified in the garage of the president's private residence in Wilmington, Delaware. This morning, President Biden's personal counsel called Mr. Lausch and stated that an additional document bearing classification markings was identified at the president's personal residence in Wilmington, Delaware."

Discussions about Biden's future involvement with Penn long predated the end of the Obama presidency, according to emails from Hunter Biden’s infamous abandoned laptop.

On April 25, 2016, Creative Artists Agency (CAA) agent Craig Gering emailed Hunter with "confidential notes from our meeting," in which Gering listed apparent plans that were discussed for the vice president upon leaving office.

One of those plans included "wealth creation," with no further explanation, and another included an apparent reference to the Penn Biden Center in Washington, D.C., with a possible job opportunity for Hunter.

"The Biden Institute of Foreign Relations at the University of Pennsylvania," Gering's email read. "Focus on foreign policy. In addition to the institute at U of Penn, the school has an existing office in DC that will be expanded to house a DC office for VP Biden (and Mike, Hunter and Steve?). Operates like The Clinton Global Initiative without the money raise."

Hunter then confirmed Gering's notes but emphasized that they needed to be "very confidential" because they were not set in stone.

"Yes," Hunter replied, "in theory that's the way I would like to see it shake out--- BUT please keep this very confidential between us because nothing has been set in stone and there's still a lot of sensitivity around all of this both internally and externally. He hasn't made any decisions and this could all be changed overnight."

Just 10 days earlier, Hunter was scheduled to attend a meeting with his father and then-university President Amy Gutmann, according to an email of Hunter's schedule from Rosemont Seneca Vice President Joan Mayer. It is not clear if the meeting at the White House actually took place, but it was scheduled almost exactly one year after Hunter and his then-wife Kathleen hosted Gutmann for a private dinner at Cafe Milano, a Georgetown institution in Washington D.C., according to an April 2015 email from a Penn official to Kathleen and Hunter. The guest list "comprised of Academy Members (significant donors), trustees, Overseers, and Penn parents" from UPenn, another email read.

Biden ignored shouted questions from the press about the 'GarageGate' scandal, this week at the conclusion earlier this week, of his bilateral meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Addressing a reporter's shouted question Thursday, the president said: "...people know I take classified documents and classified material seriously. I also said we're cooperating fully and completely with the Justice Department's review. As part of that process, my lawyers reviewed other places where documents from my time as vice president were stored and they finished the review last night. They discovered a small number of documents with classified markings in storage areas and file cabinets in my home and my personal library. This was done in the case of the Biden Penn Center. The Department of Justice was immediately, as was done, the Department of Justice was immediately notified and the lawyers arranged for the Department of Justice to take possession of the document."

Following the 'GarageGate' revelations this week, the Biden administration and its Democrat and media allies, have been roundly criticized for their hypocritical and biased handling of the scandal, after they spent the past year hounding Trump over the documents at his Mar-a-Lago home. Critics point out that unlike the former president, Biden who was vice president under Obama, did not have declassification authority.

Commenting this week, on the 'GarageGate revelations, Fox News host Tucker Carlson argued that perhaps the Democrat Party establishment wants to undermine and force Biden to abandon his plans to run for re-election in 2024.

Carlson said in part:

In fact, this is pretty clearly the beginning of the end for Joe Biden. We can't prove that. The future is unknowable, but holy smokes, it does not look good and it doesn't look good in a very recognizable way.

Meanwhile, Biden's attorney general, the most unscrupulous, unethical attorney general this country has ever had, has somehow decided that actually, in order to maintain his unsullied record of nonpartisanship, he's going to have to pass these documents, these stacks of felonies, on to an independent counsel, because that always works out well for a sitting president and by the way, in this case, the independent counsel is a Republican. Good luck, Joe Biden. Happy 80th birthday. Here's Merrick Garland.

They got Joe Biden. His own people got Joe Biden, but they don't want to wreck the party in the process. Are you following this? The Department of Justice knew on Nov. 4 that Joe Biden had committed crimes. Nov. 4 was four days before a pivotal midterm election, so naturally, the DOJ didn't issue a press release about it. They didn't dispatch the FBI to raid Biden's home in Rehoboth and root through Dr. Jill's underwear drawer. No chance of that. Biden may be a terrible president, but he's still a Democrat. It's not like he's orange.

So Merrick Garland, who is — and we cannot emphasize this enough — a soulless hack who will do anything the Democratic Party requires of him, Merrick Garland kept the news secret long enough to keep other Democrats out of the blast zone. Why hurt everybody else? They're just trying to hurt one guy, it's Joe Biden. So it wasn't until today that we knew Biden had been stashing state secrets in his Corvette.
