Grooming Gang Scandal: Keir Starmer Responds To Elon Musk Over Pakistani Rape Gangs

Keneci Network | @kenecifeed

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer has responded to Elon Musk’s accusations regarding the Pakistani rape gang scandal in the UK, claiming that those spreading lies and misinformation are not interested in victims, but rather in themselves.

The Tesla and SpaceX chief had claimed that Starmer, as the former head of the Crown Prosecution Service, failed to adequately prosecute the Pakistani gangs, allowing them to exploit young girls without facing justice.

Over 1,400 children were sexually exploited in Rotherham between 1997 and 2013, predominantly by men of Pakistani heritage, with similar cases reported in other UK cities, including Rochdale, Oxford, and Telford.

Musk and other on X, have for the past week repeatedly criticized Starmer, claiming that he was complicit in the mass rapes and should face charges for his alleged complicity in the scandal.

Starmer has denied allegations of negligence, emphasizing that his government is committed to tackling child sexual exploitation and has announced new measures to address the issue. The Prime Minister speaking at a press conference on Monday, accused Musk of spreading lies and misinformation about the government’s handling of the scandal.

The UK government has announced new measures to tackle child sexual exploitation, including criminal sanctions for professionals who fail to report suspected cases, and a significant package of measures to be announced in the coming weeks to address online child sexual exploitation.
