Huw Edwards Scandal: BBC Presenter Busted For Soliciting Sexually Explicit Photos From A Minor

Huw Edwards 61, was exposed as the woke BBC presenter suspended over allegations he paid a cocaine-addicted teenager thousands of dollars for explicit photos over the course of three years. Vicky Flind, his wife, made the revelation late Wednesday in a statement following days of speculations and rumors in the media.

Flind said after "five extremely difficult days for our family" she was naming him "primarily out of concern for his mental well-being and to protect our children." Speculations in the media and public pressure had forced colleagues at the BBC to call for the unnamed presenter to come forward.

The mother of the victim told The Sun that Edwards had allegedly paid roughly $44,000, for explicit images from the then 17-year-old. She said the payments helped fuel her child's "spiralling" cocaine addiction.

The unidentified mom told the Sun she was shocked when she noticed a photo of the naked presenter in his underwear on her child's phone. "I loved watching him on TV," she said. "So I was shocked to see a picture of him sitting on a sofa in his house in his underwear... I immediately recognised him."

The mom told the outlet that she asked her child who is now 20, about the photo and was told it was from a video call, with the child explaining, "I have shown things."

"He was leaning forward getting ready for my child to perform for him," the mom said of how the BBC presenter was posed in the photo.

She reportedly added that she heard the presenter speaking to her child on the phone earlier this year warning to not call him.

"I heard him on the phone saying to my child, ‘I told you not to fucking ring me,'" the mom recounted. "It was shocking as I’d see how he would act on the telly, and then he would say stuff like that."

A BBC spokesperson reportedly said in a statement, that the media organization was made aware of the allegations in May and has been in contact with authorities and the family. "This is a complex and fast moving set of circumstances and the BBC is working as quickly as possible to establish the facts in order to properly inform appropriate next steps," the statement reads. "We can also confirm a male member of staff has been suspended."

Over the weekend, Lucy Frazer, the U.K.'s secretary of state for digital, culture, media and sport, wrote on Twitter: "Given the nature of the allegations it is important that the BBC is now given the space to conduct its investigation, establish the facts and take appropriate action."

Metropolitan police on Wednesday, said investigators spoke with the alleged victim and the parents. The case is not currently being investigated as a potential criminal offense. Though the age of sexual consent in Britain is 16, it is a crime to make or possess indecent images of anyone under 18.

Critics were outraged by the media's handling of the case, slamming 'news' outlets for covering up for one of their own while smearing without evidence, anyone that opposes the left's woke agenda.

"The MSM has slandered and insulted me for the last 16 months with no evidence hoping I would commit suicide," popular internet personality Andrew Tate tweeted Thursday, referencing his plight in the hands of Romanian prosecutors. "When their own presenters commit crimes, endless evidence, they hide the issue to protect their mental health. Its a big evil club."

Video clips of Edwards covering Tate's case resurfaced online, with critics slamming the woke BBC presenter as hypocrite and sexual predator. A reporter of the British media outlet, Lucy Williamson was roundly mocked online recently for her biased Interview of Tate.
