Overnight Iraqi time(Jan-03-2020) US military drone targeted Iran's top military commander and terror chief Qasem Soleimani.

US and regional allied intelligence agents have been tracking Soleimani's movements for years. Qasam Soleimani  was responsible for the death of many US and coalition troops since the Iraq war in 2003. The US blames him for the December 27 rocket attack on a base that houses US troops in Northern Baghdad. That attack killed an American contact and Iraqi personnel.

The terror chief was tracked by US intelligence that fateful day. From his departure from Syria to arrival at the Baghdad airport at about 1:00 am local time. He was welcomed by another terrorist leader Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, a leader of anti-American, pro-Iran terror group called Hashd al-Shaabi.

As they drove off in convoy from the airport, three US Reaper drones flew into position armed with hellfire missiles. At the fateful time, the drones fired off the missiles that instantly blew up the convoy and killed Soleimani and his terrorist friend among others.

As reports of the air strikes spread on social media, President Trump simply tweeted a picture of the US flag.
