Video circulating online shows rapper Daniel Hernandez a.k.a. Tekashi 6ix9ix being brutally attacked by several men, at an LA Fitness in South Florida when multiple men were captured on video appearing to jump and beat him Tuesday. The 26-year-old was eventually able to walk away badly bruised.
EMTs responded to the scene, and He was immediately taken to the hospital with injuries to his face, jaw, ribs and back.
It’s not yet clear what sparked the brutal attack. The rapper has been under a spotlight ever since he cooperated with federal authorities in order to get out of prison early. His information led to the arrest of at least Nine Trey Bloods members.
Tekashi69's lawyer Lance Lazzaro reportedly indicated he plans to reach out to the federal government to ask for some protection arrangement for the rapper given the brutal incident that unfolded in Florid.
