UK Health Secretary Matt Hancock on Tuesday advised Britons returning from quarantined Italian towns to self-isolate themselves as a precautionary measure.

Businesses are also implementing a range of precautionary measures to keep their workers safe.

One of the UK's biggest media agencies the Omnicom media planning and buying agency OMD UK, has temporarily shut its London office.

In a statement, OMD Spokesperson said,

"As a precautionary measure, and until definitive results of the employee’s coronavirus test is confirmed, we are asking OMG employees at our Fitzrovia offices to immediately work from home.

"OMG UK employees have been informed that, whilst the risk of the test being positive is minimal, every precaution is being taken to protect their health and wellbeing.

"We will continue to monitor the situation and follow the guidance provided from the Government and expect to reopen these offices on Monday pending the results."

Oil giant Chevron said one of its employees who returned to work Monday, started feeling unwell and reported to hospital to be tested for the infection. The company asked its staff to stay away from the office "for the time being."

Crossrail, shares the same building as Chevron and OMD, and have also asked staff to not come into its office.
