US President Donald Trump is finally giving the regime in China a taste of its own medicine on international trade. The US government has imposed high tariff on various imports from China. The chinese regime has threatened to retaliate. China has been abusing and manipulating international trade for decades at the expense of other nations.
At the meeting of the chinese communist party in 2017, President Xi presented his "vision 2050" for china. It was clear that the chinese regime intends to conquer and dominate world commerce by all legal and illegal means it can get away with. The socialist government employ all manner of predatory policies against foreign businesses that do business in china. It forces foreign owned businesses to partner and share industrial technological secrets with chinese owned firms. It steals research and development secrets from western technology companies. It steals defense technology from top US private, academic and government institutions and industries.
Worst, china uses what amounts to predatory lending to gobble up resources and power in Africa. In some parts of east Africa, chinese state-controlled companies go in in the guise of investing to help the region's economy. But recently local governments and citizens have started souring on such projects because these chinese companies mostly import chinese workers from the mainland instead of hiring locals.
If the chinese regime is allowed to continue to flout the rules, in less than 40 years, chinese government will be the world's superpower knocking out the United States of America. This is a government that treats it's citizens as zoo animals - with strict and brutal human right and birth-to-death surveillance laws.
Who the hell wants to live in a world dominated by china as the sole superpower?
