Reality TV Host Takes Own Life At London Home

Ex-host Caroline Flack(40) of the British reality TV show "Love Island" was found dead at her east London home Saturday. On Thursday before her death, she shared on social media a picture of herself with pet dog.

She has been going through some bad publicity since facing charges for sexual allegations against her boyfriend Lewis Burton. She stepped down from hosting "Love Island" after the allegations and settled in Los Angeles. She was due in court March 4.

The current host of "Love Island" Laura Whitmore tweeted "I'm trying to find the words but I can't." A star of the show, Chris Hughes wrote: "Words can’t sum this up. So sad. Another amazing person taking from this cruel world. When will people and and press release celebrities are humans, with the same feelings everyone else has. Can’t believe to imagine the pain. God bless Caroline and her family. Rest tight."

Her death sparked debate online on the relationship between celebs and media. On twitter @JonPountney1 wrote:

"How on earth did we end up with a press that does more to scrutinise the lives of people like Caroline Flack and Meghan Markle than it does the elected representatives of the people? That props up a dying print media through victimisation, lies, and bullying?"

"Our media is manipulating you to make you believe it is social media and the public that are to blame for the death of Caroline Flack. It is down to the CPS and tabloid media. The buck stops there."

Radio talk show host Julia Hartley-Brewer @JuliaHB1 wrote:

"The angry keyboard warriors accusing people in the media of hounding #CarolineFlack to her death are very same people who incessantly post abuse to celebrities & people in the media - & who are right now busily hounding those same people online. Different rules, I guess..."
