The celebrity couple revealed that they broke up temporarily four years ago; and that Hollywood actress Jada, 48, had an affair with R&B singer August Alsina, 27.

August had revealed the relationship in a June interview with Angela Yee on the syndicated morning radio show “The Breakfast Club.” A rep for Jada’s said then that the claims were “absolutely not true.”

But on their Facebook Watch show 'Red Table Talk,' on Friday, Jada admitted that she had a romantic relationship with August around the time she broke up with Will, 51. “I was done with your ass,” he joked to her. “We broke up,” Jada confirmed. “We were over.”

"We decided we were going to separate for a period of time and you go figure out how to make yourself happy and I will go figure out how to make myself happy." Will said.

The couple then went on to talk about the affair with August. Jada said she pursued the relationship in a bid "to feel good." "I was in a lot of pain, and I was very broken," she said.

Jada said she wanted "to clear up" reports that Will had given her "permission" to stray. "The only person who can give permission in that particular circumstance is myself," she said.

She admitted she could see how August "would perceive it as permission - because we were separated amicably." She said she did not look at her time with the August as a "transgression."

Jada however said that once she and Will worked things out, August broke off all ties with her. “I let that be and I haven’t talked to him since,” she said.

The couple concluded the show with a fist-bump, joking around with a catchphrase from Will's Bad Boys franchise: "We ride together, we die together. Bad marriage for life."

Will and Jada have two children together - son Jaden, 22, and daughter Willow, 20 - both of whom work in the entertainment industry.

August was introduced to Jada at a 2015 London music festival by Jaden, who was performing with Willow. Jada and August reportedly spent the entire time together, and photos show them looking cozy at the event.

There were rumors that Jada and Will were in an open relationship and were homosexual. She told Huffpost in a 2013 interview “I’ve always told Will, ‘you can do whatever you want as long as you can look at yourself in the mirror and be OK.’ Because at the end of the day . . . I’m here as his partner, but he is his own man.”

During the Friday streamed to their 7.1 million followers, Will and Jada also mentioned that their family's relationship with August was initially to help him in his "restoration."

August was hospitalized last July, after briefly losing the ability to walk[the autoimmune disorder]. In a 2018 'Red Table' interview, Jada recalled how August broke down in tears and asked for help on the phone to her. “August and I and my mother and the family as a whole have been on this journey with August towards his healing,” she said in the interview.

August on his 2014 debut album, sang of his rough beginnings and feeling abandoned by his parents. He fell off the stage during a 2014 concert in New York, suffering 10 seizures, and ending up in a coma for three days.

Critics charge that Jada actually hurt August. A video for his 2019 song “Nunya,” featured a display of a text message exchange between August and a woman by the name of Koren, which is Jada’s middle name. The text messages apparently showed that Jada was still trying to keep tabs on his sex life, even after their relationship ended.

Friends say August seemed truly hurt about his break-up with Jada. Apparently on her end, it's back to normal with her "partner for life" Will. Critics say she used Friday's revelation to attract more eyeballs to their Facebook show.

Will and Jada married in 1997, after meeting on the set of 1990s sitcom The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air.
