Indian American comedian Akaash Singh is facing significant public scrutiny and mockery following revelations from his wife, Jasleen Singh, about her past promiscuity, including experiences with frat boys and references to orgies, which were discussed in a podcast episode. These comments, made during a segment on the podcast, have sparked intense online debate, as many expressed shock and disbelief.
The controversy intensified when Myron Gaines, co-host of popular men's podcast Fresh and Fit, publicly roasted Singh in a recent YouTube video, accusing Jasleen of being a "leech serpent woman" who pretended to be a virgin, and took advantage of Singh.
Gaines criticized the dynamic, highlighting the irony of Jasleen leveraging her husband's success for clout, which he referred to as "spousal nepotism;" while disrespecting him by revealing her promiscuous past to the world.
Singh, 41, is a comedian, actor, and podcaster known for his work on Flagrant with comedian Andrew Schulz. He married Jasleen Chawla, 32, in July 2021 in New Jersey, after a six-year relationship that began when he pursued her at a comedy festival in 2015.
The couple had initially planned to wait until marriage to have sex, and Singh had publicly expressed his belief in her virginity, even saying on a podcast that she was his first and only romantic partner.
However, recent podcast clips have contradicted this narrative, with Jasleen admitting to sexual experiences during college, including orgies and time spent in frat houses, which has led to widespread criticism and disbelief.
In a 2022 TikTok video she said she was having "nostalgia" and missinfg his sexual escapades in college. Jasleen also suggested in a podcast interview that she wants a 'hall pass' from Singh, to have sex with another man.
The feud between Singh and Gaines has reignited after a series of exchanges on X, where both parties traded insults. This escalation follows a prior conflict rooted in differing views on masculinity, relationships, and social dynamics, particularly surrounding the appearance of the Fresh & Fit hosts on Flagrant, a podcast hosted by Singh and comedian Andrew Schulz.
The Fresh & Fit hosts had previously sparked controversy for their comments on racial and romantic preferences, which Singh addressed on the podcast, criticizing men of color who avoid dating women of their own race. Singh himself has said he only likes Indian women and claimed to be a virgin before he met Jasleen who he claimed, was also a virgin.
This stance, combined with the recent revelations about his wife, has placed Singh in a difficult and humiliating public position, with critics accusing him of being a hypocrite, "simp" and emotionally vulnerable "cuck."
The situation has further complicated Singh's public image, as fans and critics speculate about the state of their marriage.
