AOC Lashes Out After She Was Sighted Frolicking In Florida, A Republican-led State Which Rejects Strict Corona-Lockdown Measures Imposed In Her Own Democrat-run State Of New York

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez(D-NY) was apparently vacationing in Florida when pictures surfaced online showing her and her boyfriend frolicking in Miami Beach Thursday. The pictures obtained by National Review show the far-left congresswoman seated across her boyfriend outside Doraku Sushi and Izakaya, raising a cocktail in one hand and checking her phone in another.

Critics swiftly took to social media to call out the congresswoman's hypocrisy. Democrats have been attacking the popular Republican governor of Florida Ron DeSantis for rejecting the authoritarian coronavirus lockdown measures imposed in Democrat-run states. Yet prominent left-wing politicians and Hollywood celebrities have been caught throughout the pandemic fleeing to frolic in free Republican-led states, even as they smear Republicans and conservatives for opposing strict lockdown measures.

“Welcome to Florida, AOC!” DeSantis’ campaign wrote on Twitter. “We hope you’re enjoying a taste of freedom here in the Sunshine State thanks to @RonDeSantisFL’s leadership.”

Responding, AOC -- whose own city New York is currently dealing with a record-breaking surge in coronavirus cases -- falsely claimed that DeSantis had been "inexplicably missing for like 2 weeks."

The congresswoman also lashed out at Hispanic conservative commentator Steve Cortes who joked about her boyfriend's feet in the National Review picture.

"1. If Leftists like AOC actually thought mandates and masking worked, they wouldn’t be frolicking in free FL," Cortes tweeted. "2. Her guy is showing his gross pale male feet in public (not at a pool/beach) with hideous sandals."

AOC sidestepped Cortes' first criticism of her hypocrisy on vaccine and mask mandates. “If Republicans are mad they can’t date me they can just say that instead of projecting their sexual frustrations onto my boyfriend’s feet," she wrote. “Ya creepy weirdos.”

She added: “It’s starting to get old ignoring the very obvious, strange, and deranged sexual frustrations that underpin the Republican fixation on me, women,& LGBT+ people in general. These people clearly need therapy, won’t do it, and use politics as their outlet instead. It’s really weird.”

The congresswoman was roundly mocked on social media. "So, if I've got this right, I'm 'sexually frustrated' & 'want to date' AOC because she ditched Covid-hell New York for mask & mandate-free DeSantistan," Kyle Becker(@kylenabecker) tweeted sarcastically. "And this is making me hate her boyfriend's feet. Honey, you are the master of projection. #AOCMeltdown."

Conservative commentator Candace Owens wrote: “'You just want to have sex me' is potentially the filthiest, most immature response I’ve ever heard uttered from an elected official that is facing critique. She’s quite literally creating a Republican sexual fantasy about herself. #AocMeltdown."

Popular DeSantis spokeswoman Christina Pushaw welcomed the New York congresswoman to Florida, telling The Daily Wire: “Glad to see AOC enjoying the Florida freedom and sunshine, but it’s sad that school children in NYC are forced to eat lunch outside in freezing temperatures this winter due to the draconian and useless COVID policies pushed by AOC and her fellow progressives.”

AOC also faced backlash Friday, for her false claim that DeSantis was "missing." The governor was in fact still carrying out his official duties, even as he takes his wife, Casey DeSantis, to her cancer treatments.

“Ron DeSantis is taking his wife to cancer treatments over Christmas break,” commentator Joe Colangelo tweeted. “Meanwhile, his New York critics visiting Florida in order to enjoy themselves accuse him of going missing. Really beyond the pale.”

Pushaw later tweeted screenshots of DeSantis public schedule.
