The disgraced former US First Lady and failed presidential candidate charged that conservative media manipulate facebook algorithm.
During an appearance on far left cable network CNN Sunday, Clinton was asked about a story on another far left website Vox which claimed that a Fox News article got the most interactions on facebook on 'super Tuesday' election day.
The Vox story claimed that, “According to data compiled by CrowdTangle, the most total interactions on Facebook came on a Fox News article about a federal judge granting a request from a right-wing group named Judicial Watch to make Clinton sit for a sworn deposition about her use of a private email server when she was secretary of state.”
Clinton visibly bitter, charged without evidence that facebook helps Fox News and conservative news organistions like Breitbart, beat the algorithm and deliver news to millions of people. “Fox and the sort of right-wing echo chamber has mastered Facebook, aided and abetted, might I say, from Facebook,” she alleged.
The failed presidential candidate claimed that "they[Fox News and conservative news outlets] know how not only to drive those stories.... but they know how to deliver those stories through the algorithms into the feeds of millions and millions of people."
Clinton apparently miffed by the fact that conservative news outlets do not follow the liberal mainstream media narrative, lamented the fact these outlets cover the news that the liberal mainstream media refuse to cover.
The Judicial Watch victory in court was widely covered by conservative news outlets. Liberal mainstream media didn't touch the story. The fact that the story got high interaction numbers on facebook shows that people were interested in the story. A sane news consumer would ask why the the mainstream media refused to cover such story.
The conspiracy that facebook helps conservative news outlets beat the algorithm is so laughable it is not even worth addressing. Anyone that has spent five minutes on the internet knows that [big tech] social media giants are all biased against conservatives.
Clinton offered up a backhanded praise for conservative outlets for actually reporting all the news that voters are interested in. "So I, I begrudgingly give them a lot of credit...." she said.
