Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg is reportedly planning to indict and arrest former United States president, Donald Trump over alleged hush money payments made to Stormy Daniels to cover up an alleged affair. Trump has denied any wrongdoing and federal prosecutors have decided there's no case to pursue.

Trump commented on the rumored potential arrest, in a social media post over the weekend. The former president wrote in part: "NOW ILLEGAL LEAKS FROM A CORRUPT & HIGHLY POLITICAL MANHATTAN DISTRICT ATTORNEYS OFFICE, WHICH HAS ALLOWED NEW RECORDS TO BE SET IN VIOLENT CRIME & WHOSE LEADER IS FUNDED BY GEORGE SOROS, INDICATE THAT, WITH NO CRIME BEING ABLE TO BE PROVEN, & BASED ON AN OLD & FULLY DEBUNKED (BY NUMEROUS OTHER PROSECUTORS!) FAIRYTALE, THE FAR & AWAY LEADING REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE & FORMER PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, WILL BE ARRESTED ON TUESDAY OF NEXT WEEK. PROTEST, TAKE OUR NATION BACK!"

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis weighed in Monday, on the arrest reports, slamming Bragg who is backed by controversial far-left billionaire globalist George Soros, over his corrupt and racist conduct in office. Trump an ex-NY resident, has since made Mar-a-Lago, Florida, home.

“But what I can speak is that you have a prosecutor who is ignoring crimes happening every single day in his jurisdiction and he chooses to go back many, many years ago to try to use something about porn star hush money payments," DeSantis said of Bragg, on Monday. "You know, that’s an example of pursuing a political agenda.”

The governor called for Bragg to focus on actual crime in his district. Soros has been widely criticized for funding the elections of Marxist far-left district attorneys across America, who go on to implement dangerously woke and pro-crime policies, wrecking havoc in cities like New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco.

“They ignore crime and they empower criminals and that hurts people," DeSantis said. "It hurts a lot of people every single day. These Soros district attorneys are a menace to society.”

Trump who is running for re-election to be president, was apparently not happy with DeSantis' remarks. “Ron DeSanctimonious will probably find out about FALSE ACCUSATIONS & FAKE STORIES sometime in the future, as he gets older, wiser, and better known, when he’s unfairly and illegally attacked by a woman, even classmates that are 'underage' (or possibly a man!),” Trump wrote on social media, a few hours after the governor's remarks. "I’m sure he will want to fight these misfits just like I do!”

Online however, many conservatives and Republicans welcomed DeSantis' remarks with some pointing out that Trump has been harshly attacking the governor in a one-sided feud, since he announced his re-election bid.

Although widely expected, DeSantis has not yet declared whether he will run for president in 2024.

The governor during the press conference, also announced he's proposing legislation to ban Central Bank Digital Currency in Florida. Critics say unlike Bitcoin which is a truly decentralized peer-to-peer cryptocurrency, CBDC could be used to impose authoritarian control on the populace.
