The president in a statement Thursday responding to congress' certification of the presidential election, said there will be peaceful transfer of power on January 20. He however reiterated that he "totally disagrees with the outcome of the election"

The president added that "While this represents the end of the greatest first term in presidential history, it’s only the beginning of our fight to Make America Great Again!”

Congress presided over by Vice President Mike Pence on Wednesday formally certified the 2020 election results even as lawmakers and the courts refuse to investigate allegations of rampant election fraud in 6 states. A group of Republican lawmakers led by senator Ted Cruz objected to the certification of results from Arizona and Pennsylvania.

The proceeding in congress was temporarily halted as Pence and congress members were rushed out following the storming of the U.S. Capitol by peaceful protesters.

Ashley Babbitt, a 14-year Air force veteran was shot dead by police during the protests.

The killing of Babbitt who was unarmed, sparked outrage on social media among Trump supporters who pointed out that far left Black Lives Matter and antifa extremist who were burning down cities and killing innocent bystanders throughout 2020, were met with kid-glove treatment and praise by Democrat politicians.

"This is Ashley Babbitt, she was shot and killed by law enforcement during a protest in America," Mark Collett wrote on Gab. "No one will take the knee for her. There will be no murals in her honour. The media will not mourn her death. She is white, so her life does not matter to the establishment."

President had earlier in a speech called out "weak Republicans who turn a blind eye," as Democrats put America last in their policies. "Primary the hell out of the ones[Republicans] that don't fight [for you]," the president urged his supporters.
