Despite opinion polls forecasting a tighter race, Prime Minister Orban's Fidesz party won overwhelmingly across the country in Sunday's parliamentary election. Opposition left-wing leader Peter Marki-Zay even failed to win in his own district, where the 58-year-old had served as mayor.

Fidesz party had a commanding lead with 71% of the votes counted, Hungary's national elections board said Sunday evening. With this victory, Orban clinches a 4th consecutive term, having being power for 12 years.

"We have such a victory it can be seen from the moon, but it's sure that it can be seen from Brussels," Orban said during his victory speech Sunday night, in which he slammed his international left-wing political foes, the Hungarian left and the international media.

"We will remember this victory until the end of our lives because we had to fight against a huge amount of opponents," Orban said. "....We never had so many opponents at the same time."

Orban also slammed billionaire globalist George Soros. "Christian democratic politics, conservative politics, and patriotic politics have won;" he said, adding that “The Hungarian Left was the worst investment of George Soros."

While Hungary has supported most of EU's sanctions against Russia for its invasion of Ukraine, Orban has been attacked by EU officials for remaining somewhat neutral. He had offered to mediate between the warring nations.

The globalists in Brussels and U.S will have to work with him for the next four years. Hungarian voters have chosen their leaders, and rejected left-wing open borders politics.
