WOKE Goodyear: McEnany Says The President Wants Company To Clarify Stance

The While House press secretary Wednesday addressed President Trump's tweets that called for customers to boycott tire company, Goodyear.

A Goodyear employee says the company has put out a new 'woke' guideline on what isn’t acceptable as part of Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company’s zero-tolerance policy on free political expression.

A photo seen circulating on social media shows a slide that was presented during a diversity training. Under the new policy, acceptable political expressions include support for Black Lives Matter (BLM), Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Pride.

Unacceptable expressions include support for Blue Lives Matter[support for police officers], All Lives Matter, MAGA Attire, Political Affiliated Slogans or Material.

Responding to the revelation Trump tweeted, "Don’t buy GOODYEAR TIRES - They announced a BAN ON MAGA HATS. Get better tires for far less! (This is what the Radical Left Democrats do. Two can play the same game, and we have to start playing it now!)."

The company later put out a misleading statement on Twitter: "Yesterday, Goodyear became the focus of a conversation that created some misconceptions about our policies and our company.  Goodyear has always wholeheartedly supported both equality and law enforcement and will continue to do so."

During Wednesday's White House press briefing, McEnany schools far left CBS reporter who apparently defended Goodyear's 'woke' policy. Paula Reid -- who many critics see as more of a Democrat party activist than a news reporter -- claimed that Goodyear's policy "is just a ban on political speech ... pretty common for most companies."

Reid asked the press secretary why the president is "retaliating against a private company for their dress code."

“Goodyear needs to come out and clarify their policy,” McEnany answered. She noted that the company's policy, as displayed in the leaked photo, clearly targeted a certain ideology.

Reid continued to defend the company, insisting that according to its statement, racial equality, racial justice, that is ok but not political speech." She claimed, "That’s pretty standard across the board right now. That’s not that unusual.”

McEnany shot back, noting that Goodyear called it ‘equality issues’ in their statement. "As far as I’m concerned Blue Lives Matter is an equity issue," she said. "There have been police officers across this country that have been targeted because they wear the badge. Look no further than Dallas where five police officers died.

The press secretary continued: So Black Lives Matters, an organization who in their DC branch said Black Lives Matter means defund the police; one of their presidents in New York said we will burn down the system. We all remember in 2015 the yelling of ‘pigs in a blanket, fry ’em like bacon’ at a Black Lives Matter rally. That speech is allowed, but Blue Lives Matter is not allowed? I will stand at this podium and say Blue Lives Matter is an equity issue and Goodyear needs to come out and acknowledge it.
