Rapper and fashion mogul Ye, 45 revealed on social media Wednesday that he visited Donald Trump at his Mar-a-Lag home in Florida this week. He was accompanied by internet personality Nick Fuentes, 24, and the former president's campaign ex-staffer Karen Giorno.

“First time at Mar-a-Lago," Ye tweeted on Wednesday. "Rain and traffic. Can’t believe I kept President Trump waiting. And I had on jeans. Yikes. What you guys think his response was when I asked him to be my running mate in 2024?" he asked, his 33 million followers in a Twitter poll: 'That’s very Ye' or 'That’s very Nay.'

Ye talked about the Mar-a-Lago visit, in a campaign-style video posted Thursday on Twitter. Trump, who has already announced his third run for president, apparently scoffed at the rapper's offer and brought up Alice Johnson, a woman in her 60s whose sentence he commuted in 2017 after some lobbying from Kim Kardashian.

“He basically gave me this would-be mob-esque kinda story, talking to some kid from the South Side of Chicago trying to sound mobby or whatever,” Ye said in the video. “He goes into the story about all that he went through to get Alex Johnson out of jail but he didn’t do it for Kim but he did for me. But then he goes on to say that Kim is a [expletive] and you can tell her I said that. And I was thinking like that’s the mother of my children.”

Apparently while everyone else on social media was talking about Ye's video, leftists and their media allies focused on the 24-year-old who accompanied the rapper to Mar-a-Lago. Fuentes has been smeared and deplatformed for years. He's been dishonestly branded a "white supremacist" and "antisemite."

Reacting to the chatter on Friday, Trump said in a statement Friday: “This past week, Kanye West called me to have dinner at Mar-a-Lago. Shortly thereafter, he unexpectedly showed up with three of his friends, whom I knew nothing about. We had dinner on Tuesday evening with many members present on the back patio. The dinner was quick and uneventful. They then left for the airport.”

Ye has suggested he may run for president in 2024, and he has been using '#YE24' in his recent social media media posts. Apparently Trump tried to discourage him during their meeting Tuesday, at Mar-a-Lago.
