Parents in the school district of Franklin, Tennessee descended Tuesday, on the Williamson County School Board meeting held with doctors and parents to discuss the implementation of a requirement for students, staff, and visitors to wear masks inside elementary school buildings and on buses.

The meeting got heated as the pro and anti-mask proponents who were able to get inside the building make their case. The school board ended up voting to pass the mask mandate.

Outside of the building massive crowd of anti-mask outraged demonstrators chanting "no more masks!," made their opposition known peacefully. Among the demonstrators was Outkick founder and conservative commentator Clay Travis, who lives in the area and has two kids in school.

Travis posted a video on Twitter showing the protest. "The anti mask at schools revolution is underway in Tennessee," he wrote. "These are the people who couldn’t get in the meeting tonight. They’ve never seen a crowd this big before for a school board meeting."

The demonstration continued all the way into the evening.

Many scientists have warned against mask mandates in schools, pointing out that there is no scientific basic for it, and that such masks do not block out the coronavirus.
