OMICRON: WHO Skips Greek 'Xi' In Naming New Corona-variant, In Bow To China

Corrupt World Health Organization officials are apparently more concerned about not hurting the feelings of the leader of the Chinese regime, even as left-wing bureaucrats, politicians and their media allies fearmonger about the new China virus variant.

WHO  had earlier named variants according to the Greek alphabet, including the Alpha variant out of the United Kingdom; the Beta variant out of South Africa; the Gamma variant out of Brazil; and the Delta variant out of India. Additional variants include Epsilon, Zeta, Eta, Theta, Iota, Kappa, Lambda, and Mu.

But the world health body reportedly opted against using 'Nu' and 'Xi' and instead named the new variant 'Omicron,' to "avoid stigmatizing a region." In other words, to avoid 'Xi' which composes part of Chinese leader Xi Jinping‘s name.

An anonymous WHO source confirmed the change, according to Paul Nuki, the Global Health Security Editor for the Telegraph.

"A WHO source confirmed the letters Nu and Xi of the Greek alphabet had been deliberately avoided," Nuki wrote on social media. "Nu had been skipped to avoid confusion with the word 'new' and Xi had been skipped to 'avoid stigmatizing a region,' they said."

This is not the first time the WHO has cowered to China. The current director-general, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, is also profoundly compromised by China. According to the BBC, "while Dr. Tedros may be political, a lot of that political effort seems to be spent reassuring authoritarian, opaque governments, in a bid to get them to work with the WHO to tackle diseases which threaten global health."

During the early stage of the pandemic last year, left-wing media talking heads and politicians rightly used the 'China virus' or 'Wuhan virus' to identify the coronavirus which American officials now believe originated from a lab in Wuhan, China. But they later turned on the name, and smeared then President Donald Trump as racist for calling it the 'China virus.'

Following the detection of the new variant Omicron recently in South Africa, left-wing media outlets and bureaucrats have no problem calling the 'South African variant.'

Apparently the feelings of the Chinese dictator takes priority over the South Africans'?
