Russia's robotic Progress 87 cargo ship lifted off atop a Soyuz rocket 0325 UTC on Feb. 15, from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, carrying a fresh load of supplies headed for the International Space Station(ISS) including about 3 tons of food, propellant and other supplies.

Progress 87 is scheduled to dock at about 0612 UTC on Feb. 17, with the Russian Zvezda service module on the ISS.

Unlike SpaceX Dragon, Progress is an expendable spacecraft. Both space vehicles along with Northrop Grumman's Cygnus are currently the only ones that fly resupply missions to the ISS.
