Trump Restricts Travel From Europe Over Wuhan Virus Spread

The United States President in oval office Wednesday night announced a temporary halt on travel from Europe to the US. This restriction exempts flights from United Kingdom and those carrying cargo.

According to Trump, "the European Union failed to take the same precautions[as the US] and restrict travel from China and other hot spots. As a result a large number of new clusters in the United States were seeded by travelers from Europe."

The President said, "to keep new cases from entering our shores, we'' be suspending all travels from Europe to the United States for the next 30 days. The news rules will go into effect Friday at midnight. These restrictions will be adjusted subject to conditions on the ground. There will be exemptions for Americans who have undergone appropriate screenings..... these restrictions will also not apply to the United Kingdom."

World Health Organization Wednesday declared the Wuhan virus spread a pandemic. There are over 450 Wuhan virus cases and 8 deaths in the UK. Confirmed US numbers are over 1,300 cases and 38 deaths. Worldwide, there are over 120, 000 cases and 5, 000 deaths.

Addressing Americans Trump assured, "the virus will not have a chance against us. No nation is more prepared, or more resilient," He said his administration has a plan to combat and reduce the spread of the virus.

The President urged Americans "to take extra precautions and practice good hygiene.... Wash your hands, clean often used surfaces, cover your face and mouth if you sneeze or cough. And most of all, if you're sick or not feeling well, stay home."

Addressing attacks on him by leaders of the opposition party and the mainstream media, the President reminded Americans, "we are all in this together."

The president continued, "we must put politics aside. Stop the partisanship and unify together as one nation and one family."

Liberal mainstream media outlets have been stoking fears and panic over the Wuhan virus pandemic. Earlier Wednesday during a meeting with bank and Wall Street executives, Trump called out CNN when one of their reporters asked him a silly gotcha question.
