Aaron Rodgers Responds To Backlash Over His Anti-Corona-vaccine Stance

By Keneci Channel

Back in August when the Green Bay Packers quarterback was asked if he was vaccinated, he responded “yea, I’m immunized,” leading many to assume he got the coronavirus vaccine shot.

It has recently been revealed that Rodgers didn't get the jab shot, and is sceptical of the efficacy of the vaccine.

Following two days of being chastised for his decision, the quarterback finally spoke out Friday afternoon on The Pat McAfee Show.

“I realize I’m in the crosshairs of the woke mob right now,” Rodgers said. “So before my final nail gets put in my cancel culture casket I think I’d like to set the record straight on so many of the blatant lies that are out there about myself right now.”

“First of all I didn’t lie in the initial press conference,” he continued. “During that time, it was a very witch hunt that was going on across the league where everybody in the media was so concerned about who was vaccinated and who wasn’t. I would have said look, I’m not some sort of anti-vax flat-earther. I believe strongly in bodily autonomy and the ability to make choices for your body, not to have to acquiesce to some woke culture or crazed group of individuals.”

Rodgers said he decided not to get the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine because he has an allergy to an ingredient that is in the mRNA vaccines. That left Johnson & Johnson as his only option, but he grew concerned when it was pulled for blood clotting issues in mid-April.

According to the quarterback, the league was fully aware of his vaccine decision. After providing research and documents explaining the treatment he received, he petitioned the league to grant him vaccination status, but was declined.

Rodgers had other concerns too.

“The next great chapter in my life I believe is being a father and it’s something that I care about a lot," he said "To my knowledge there’s been zero long term studies around sterility or fertility issues around the vaccines so that was definitely something that I was worried about.”

Rodgers slammed NFL's ridiculous rules.

“Some of the rules to me are not based on science at all, they’re based purely in trying to out and shame people,” he said.

“I have followed every protocol to a tee,” Rodgers said, except for wearing a mask during press conferences, a rule he feels “makes absolutely no sense."

The quarterback who tested positive for coronavirus infection earlier this week, said he called popular podcaster Joe Rogan for some advice.

“I consulted with a now-good friend of mine, Joe Rogan, after he got Covid and I’ve been doing a lot of the stuff that he recommended in his podcasts and on the phone to me,” Rodgers said.

“I’m gonna have the best immunity possible now,” he added, citing the natural immunity he expects to have after recovering from coronavirus infection.

"I’ve been taking monoclonal antibodies, ivermectin, zinc, vitamin C, and D, HCQ [hydroxychloroquine], and I feel pretty incredible,” Rodgers revealed.
