The YouTube star pulled off the impressive first-round knockout victory over Askren Saturday at the Triller Fight Club pay-per-view event at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.

Paul scored the knockout in less than 2 minutes after landing a big right hook on Askren, who eventually got to his feet stunned. But referee Brian Stutts decided to end the fight because he believed that the UFC fighter wasn’t in shape to continue. The fight was stopped at the 1:59 mark.

The 24 year-old YouTuber star dedicated the victory to his security guard Shadow, who passed away 10 days prior to the fight.

"I deserved that shit," Paul said after the fight. "This is the craziest moment of my life. I told y'all I was going to do it in the first round. I told y'all I'm a real fighter. I don't know how many times I got to prove myself that this is for real. This has been the hardest 10 days of my life. I've had to hold it together to keep this fight going. I'm just honored to be here."

Paul improved his career record to 3-0, all knockouts. He also has had victories over former NBA player Nate Robinson and fellow YouTube star AnEsonGib.

Askren, who has a 19-2 record in the UFC, didn’t seem upset after the loss. A video surfaced on the internet of Askren backstage and it appeared as if he was smiling and uninjured. He reportedly made about $500,000 in disclosed pay for the bout.

The star-studded event was attended by social media celebrities including Bryce Hall and Addison Rae. Justin Bieber and Doja Cat performed at the event. And rapper Snoop Dogg co-hosted the live commentary.

Many fans on social media were not amused by how short the fight lasted. Many claimed the fight was 'fixed.' "Everyone saying the fight was rigged is tweeting off their moms WiFi," Paul later responded on Twitter.

Another YouTube star Bryce Hall will face off against Austin McBroom in another exhibition boxing PPV event on June 12.
