Andrew Schulz Calls Out Ben Shapiro's Hypocrisy Over Candace Owens' Firing From Daily Wire

On recent episode of his podcast, Flagrant, the liberal New York stand-up comic and his co-hosts discussed the controversial firing of conservative commentator Candace Owens from Daily Wire.

Tennessee-based Daily Wire fired the outspoken conservative wife and mother of 3, after a viral online feud between her and the media outlet's co-founder Ben Shapiro over the ongoing Israel-Gaza war.

Daily Wire executive Jeremy Boreing basically admitted during a recent X Spaces conversation that Owens was fired because of her criticisms of Israeli Defense Forces(IDF)' war crimes in Gaza.

Boreing and Shapiro suggested they're not obliged to keep Owens as employee if she does not uncritically support Israel.

Schulz said that Shapiro who had claimed to be a free speech absolutist, is a hypocrite for firing Owens. He cited the Daily Wire co-founder's past criticisms of far-left media outlets like the New York Times which have fired employees for sharing opinions the organizations don't like.

The liberal stand-up comic also called out Shapiro for only debating clueless young college students, while dodging debates with more knowledgeable people about important issues.

Shapiro has faced similar criticisms in American conservative circles for refusing to debate his nemesis and catholic right-wing firebrand Nick Fuentes, whose 'Groyper' movement has challenged the globalist policies of the Republican party's neoconservative faction.

Following last October 7 attack on Israel by Hama militants and the ongoing devastating IDF's air strikes inside Gaza, many traditional pro-Israel conservatives in United States and the west in general have started reconsidering their support for the Jewish nation.

Many so-called 'America first' conservatives like Owens argue that America has many domestic problems; but leaders waste resources on foreign wars which appear to only serve the national security interests of Israel. These critics have also started questioning the neoconservative foreign policy narrative which has dominated right-wing establishment politics since the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack on the U.S. that killed about 3000, and the costly wars in Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria which followed.

Some conservatives like Owens have also started questioning the right's steadfast support for Israel, a nation that proudly supports social issues like LGBTQ degeneracy and late-term abortion, which the conservative movement, especially in America, vehemently opposes.

Shapiro had harshly criticized Owens for her opposition to IDF's genocidal war against Palestinians, leading to a nasty online feud between the two. Apparently the conservative firebrand's refusal to publicly condemn her friend and hip hop mogul Ye, last year, has drawn the ire of some prominent Jews like Shapiro and disgraced "filthy" and "unholy" Rabbi Shmuley who has been smearing Owens for the past two years as antisemitic.

Just days before her firing, Owens interviewed another Rabbi, Michael Barclay who bizarrely had a meltdown after the conservative host refused to agree with his unhinged declaration that the deaths of fewer Israeli civilians is "uniquely" worse and more immoral than the deaths of tens of thousands of Palestinian civilians.

Owens also disagreed with Rabbi Barclay's declaration that the holocaust during world war 2, is the worst historical crime against humanity. She cited the horrific crimes against Christians during the Jewish-led Bolshevik revolution in the then Soviet Union.
