Elon Musk vs. Mark Zuckerberg: Cage Fight Or Nah?

It all started when several Twitter users, including Elon Musk, commented on a report about Mark Zuckerberg's Meta potentially working on a Twitter-like application.

"I’m sure Earth can’t wait to be exclusively under Zuck’s thumb with no other options," Musk responded.

A Twitter user pointed out that Zuckerberg trains in Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) and warned Musk to "be careful." To which Musk joked: "I'm up for a cage match if he is lol."

Zuckerberg responded on his Instagram Story with: "Send Me Location," over a screenshot of Musk's tweet.

"If this is for real, I will do it," Musk replied to a user who shared a screenshot of Zuckerberg’s response. The Tesla CEO also suggested a location for the fight in another tweet: "Vegas Octagon," referencing Ultimate Fighting Championship's fight cage.

From then, it's on; or is it?

UFC CEO Dana White said he spoke to both Musk and Zuckerberg, and they appear to be "dead serious," about the potential fight.

Musk, who is taller and heavier, later admitted however that he "almost never" goes to the gym or works out "except for picking up my kids and throwing them in the air." The Twitter owner joked in another tweet, that he has a "great move" that he calls "'The Walrus." It’s "where I just lie on top of my opponent & do nothing," he wrote.

Online fight 'experts' are not so sure about Musk's chances.

Zuckerberg recently won a no-gi white belt, 149-pound division tournament in Silicon Valley. He also placed second in a gi category the same day, ESPN reported. The Meta chief has trained in BJJ for about a year under Dave Camarillo, who previously mentored elite UFC fighters such as former heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez, and welterweight standouts Jon Fitch and Josh Koscheck.

Apparently, Musk's mom is not sure too. "Actually, I canceled the fight," she tweeted. "I haven’t told them yet. But I will continue to say the fight is canceled, just in case…🤨"
