In a post on X Monday, Kim Dotcom(a.k.a. Kim Schmitz) revealed he was suspended from the platform for the past few weeks, after posting a screenshot from Bidenreport.com, which allegedly showed U.S. President Joe Biden's son Hunter engaging in child sexual exploitation. The Megaupload founder and free speech advocate claimed that Hunter was under investigation by the FBI for “sickening” child rape and pedophilia crimes.
After posting the photo of Hunter Biden choking and having sex with a girl who appears to be a minor, Kim Dotcom received a notification that his post had been deleted for violating the child sexual exploitation policy of X's terms and conditions and his account subsequently suspended.
Dotcom claimed that the girl Hunter Biden was choking in the photos was a minor, a claim he outlined in the appeal he filed with X against his suspension, writing:
"X has suspended my account for posting a photo from Bidenreport.com (Hunter Biden laptop) which shows Hunter Biden strangling a woman during sex. It was a quote responding to a post by Joe Biden celebrating his ‘Violence Against Women Act’.
X suspended my account under the ‘Child sexual exploitation policy’ which means X believes that the photo I posted is that of an underaged girl?
But if this photo isn’t of an underaged girl my X post can’t be in breach of your ‘Child sexual exploitation policy’. Is X seriously suggesting that Hunter Biden had brutal sex with a child? That would be a huge story.
If that’s the case I would like to receive evidence of ‘child exploitation’. X is asking me to delete my post and ‘acknowledge that I violated the X rules’. I cannot do that unless X can provide evidence that this is in fact a photo of an underaged girl having sex w"ith Hunter Biden. If not then my post is not in breach of X rules.
For your information bidenreport.com and the photo I posted are in the public domain and have been used as evidence by the Congressional Committee investigating Joe and Hunter Biden for numerous crimes. To the best of my knowledge Child sexual exploitation wasn’t one of them.
Please reinstate my account."
Bidenreport.com is a website that was created to provide the public with the contents of Hunter Biden's infamous laptop. In September 2023, the creators of the website were sued by Hunter Biden for publishing its contents. Among the parties sued by Biden was Garrett Ziegler, a former aide in the Trump administration to White House trade adviser Peter Navarro.
After submitting his appeal to X, Dotcom allegedly emailed owner Elon Musk directly to address the suspension of his account. However, Musk did not respond to the emails.
Monday's post, Dotcom said only Musk knows the motives behind keeping him suspended, and pointed out that his recent criticism of the X owner for supporting Benjamin Netanyahu's regime in Israel may also be a factor behind his account suspension.
The internet entrepreneur and New Zealand citizen concluded Monday's post on X, with a pretty bleak take on Musk, stating: "I always looked up to Elon for his innovations. I supported his takeover of Twitter and appreciated his whistleblowing with the Twitter files. He certainly gave me a voice until it was taken away. I thought he was one of the good guys and his stance for free speech was real. I’m not so sure anymore."
Dotcom also posted a screenshot he claimed, is a threatening letter from Hunter Biden, in which the U.S. president's son referenced Julian Assange's ordeal in the hands of European, British and US authorities.
Dotcom, who has been in a legal battle for a decade, is facing extradition to the U.S.
