Conservative pundit and host of Louder With Crowder LwC, Steven Crowder on his show on March 30, mocked Klein, the 'woke' far left host of the YouTube channel H3H3 Productions, for saying that "you shouldn't think about" what the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) "tells you what to do," but that Americans should just follow the agency's guidelines.

Two months later, in May, Klein responded on his own live stream, sparking a back and forth that culminated when Crowder invited Klein onto his show to talk on June 7, saying the debate would be a "lay-up."

Klein rejected Crowder's offer and bragged about it on his show. He later reached out to Crowder asking to come on LwC according to text message exchange between them released by Crowder.

"Hey Steven I'm down to debate," Klein wrote in part. "It could be fun."

YouTube viewers were hyped for the debate.

On his own edited recording of the 'debate' published Monday, before he joined LwC via Zoom, Klein smeared Crowder calling him "hateful, bigoted, homophobic."

Crowder played the whole recording of the 'debate' during his live show Tuesday. He predicted that Klein would try "to do anything he can to avoid the debate." He was right.

The conservative firebrand accepted Klein on the Zoom call under the impression that they'd be debating the CDC's policies and issues of tech censorship.

They exchanged pleasantries and talked about their wives and children. He praised and thanked Klein for coming on his show. "I appreciate you coming on and doing this," Crowder said. "....I always respect people who enter the arena."

Then the show derailed. Klein without warning, brought on another far left YouTuber Sam Seder to debate on his behalf.

"Oh no, it's Sam Seder! What a fuckng nightmare! I had no idea this was going to happen," Crowder said when Seder appeared. "I told you, I guarantee you he would do anything he can to avoid a debate." Then taking a jab at Klein's recent feud with his former 'Frenemies' co-host Trisha Paytas, he adds: "He just takes advantage of women with mental health issues."

Seder defending Klein, said: "Yeah, but you, you would do anything to avoid talking to me."

"Sam, I don't start debates with people based on lies!" Cowder shot back.

After 15 minutes of shouting match and crosstalk, Crowder ended the call.

Clips of the show went viral online with many on social media calling out Klein for his cowardly 'bait and switch' tactics.
