Ted Cruz Calls Out MSNBC Host's Basic Arithmetic Flop

Keneci Channel.

Following the announcements of Wuhanvirus emergency measures by the federal government and states across the United States, the Trump administration has asked Congress for nearly 1 trillion dollar fiscal stimulus to help working class Americans who are facing uncertain economic times.

Responding to this news, anti-Trump MSNBC democrat host Chris Hayes apparently thought he had a smart 'take' for his Twitter followers. He tweeted, "BREAKING: We can, of course, afford a Green New Deal. That’s been true all along."

He was trying to justify the ridiculously unrealistic price tag of a nearly 100 trillion-dollar proposal by democrat congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to 'fight climate change.' The proposal was widely mocked at the time even by her fellow democrats.

Popular republican Texas senator Ted Cruz took it upon himself to do the thankless job of teaching Hayes basic arithmetic.

Responding to Hayes, the Texas senator tweeted, "$800 billion is not equal to $93 trillion. Even on MSNBC."

Apparently Hayes could care less about this small arithmetic detail. Trying to fund Congresswoman Cortez' 'Green New Deal' would bankrupt and cripple United States economy and will involve fundamentally reorganizing American society and economic system.

The MSNBC host was also roundly mocked by others. It is called 'ratio' on twitter. He was 'brutally' ratioed, alright.

Here are some of the replies to Hayes:

Mark Dice @MarkDice: "Wrong. We know how you clowns at MSNBC do math."

RaiderNation @rAnthony03: "Thankfully, I think “most” people have heard the bs lies from these networks and don’t buy it nor listen. Unfortunately, there’s some that believe this bs. I don’t get it. But who am I?"

Chris Nodimas @CholeraFan: "I was just saying something similar to my wife. She bought some lotion for $20, and I was like 'surely if we can afford that, we can also afford a BMW.'"

Philly Talk, @PhillyTalk: "Spoiler Alert: We're 21 TRILLION in debt. We can't afford anything. Anybody that says otherwise is lying."

Raymond Fields, @rfields301 asked the 'important' question: "Is everyone at MSNBC bad at math."

Not long ago another MSNBC host and his guest from New York Times embarrassed themselves live on TV. They asserted that with $500 million, former presidential candidate, Mike Bloomberg could have given $1 million to each of the 330 million Americans.[Wrong!]
