Tucker Carlson Twitter Show Debut Triggers Leftists; Fox News Threatens Legal Action

Ex-Fox News host Tucker Carlson posted the first episode of his new show Tucker on Twitter on the social media platform on Tuesday. And as expected the popular journalist and provocative commentator did not hold back.

Carlson started his nearly eleven minutes monologue by ridiculing left-wing media talking heads who suggested that Russian President Vladimir Putin may have been responsible for the recent destruction of the Nova Kakhova dam in southern Ukraine, as the Russia-Ukraine war rages on. Western news outlets have been staunchly in favor of the war and smears anyone who reports news critical of Ukraine, as "Russian propagandist."

"The question is who did it?" Carlson asked. "Well, let’s see, the Kokovka dam was effectively Russian, it was built by the Russian government. It currently sits in Russian-controlled territory. The dam’s reservoir supplies water to Crimea, which has been for the last 240 years home of the Russian Black Sea Fleet. Blowing up the dam may be bad for Ukraine, but it hurts Russia more. And for precisely that reason the Ukrainian government has considered destroying it.”

The conservative firebrand said a “fair person would conclude that the Ukrainians probably blew it up, just as you would assume they blew up the Nord Stream Russian natural gas pipeline last fall.” He slammed corrupt Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky who he described as  a “sweaty and rat-like” and “our shifty, dead-eyed Ukrainian friend in the tracksuit.”

Carlson also called out pro-war neocons Bill Kristol, Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Republican presidential hopeful Nikki Haley for their support of America's involvement in the Ukrainian war effort.

The Tucker on Twitter host concluded by comparing the social media show's audience to the “few Russians who understood what was really going on in the rest of the world” during Soviet Union rule in the 1970s.

“As of today, we’ve come to to Twitter, which we hope will be the shortwave radio under the blankets," Carlson said. "We’re told there are no gatekeepers here. If that turns out to be false, we’ll leave,” Carlson said. “But in the meantime, we are grateful to be here. We’ll be back with much more very soon.”

The show debut was met with anger and lamentation from online left-wing activists, media talking heads and politicians who fell over themselves as they rush to condemn and smear Carlson as a racist, antisemite. Russian propagandist etc. The usual vitriol.

Apparently Fox News was also not happy with their former star host, who they're still paying as both parties negotiate their separation. Carlson was ousted from the news outlet in April.

Fox News on Wednesday, reportedly notified Carlson's lawyers, alleging that he violated his contract with the network when he launched his Tucker on Twitter show Tuesday..

Carlson lawyer Bryan Freedman, reportedly said in a statement: “Fox defends its very existence on freedom of speech grounds. Now they want to take Tucker Carlson’s right to speak freely away from him because he took to social media to share his thoughts on current events."
