Fox News host Tucker Carlson in a blistering monologue Monday, slammed United States president Joe Biden's plan to allow Poland to send fighter jets to Ukraine, as Russia's invasion of the neighboring country enters its thirteenth day. Secretary of State Tony Blinken told CBS News on Sunday that the Polish plan "gets a green light" from the U.S.

"The Biden administration just inserted itself with force into the middle of a hot war between two foreign powers," Carlson charged. "That means the United States is now an active participant in a war. We are at war with Russia. Whether or not that war has been officially declared, whether or not Congress has authorized that war, all of that is irrelevant. That war is happening right now as we watch."

The Fox News host agued that while Russian president Vladimir Putin had other motives as well, his ongoing invasion of Ukraine is mostly because he "didn't want Ukraine to join NATO," for which the neighboring country and some Western nations are pushing.

"The Russians don't want American missiles on their border," Carlson said. "They don't want a hostile government next door."

But "permanent Washington" had other ideas, the Fox New host argued. They don't mind getting U.S. into a war against Russia, and would stop at nothing to get their way.

"Failing to back a proxy war in Ukraine was the one thing Donald Trump was not allowed to do as president," Carlson argued. "Again, they impeached him for it and no one said much about it."

Carlson also warned that because of the wide-ranging financial sanctions against Russia, the U.S: "should prepare to lose our position as holder of the world's reserve currency. That is happening in slow motion. It's unmistakable. Now the Biden people seem to have no idea this is going on, or maybe they want it to happen."
