Liberal media and democrat politicians Sunday, ran with the a fake news report by far left outlet New York Times which alleged that Russia offered cash payments to Taliban-linked militants to kill coalition troops in Afghanistan.

The report also alleged that President Trump was briefed on the intelligence.

All top security and intelligence officials have since confirmed that President was not briefed.

Trump tweeted on Sunday "Intel just reported to me that they did not find this info credible, and therefore did not report it to me or @VP. Possibly another fabricated Russia Hoax, maybe by the Fake News @nytimesbooks, wanting to make Republicans look bad!!!"

Responding to questions about the report, White house press secretary Kayleigh McEnany tore into New York Times. "And I really think that it’s time for the New York Times to step back and ask themselves why they’ve been wrong — so wrong, so often," she said.

She read off some past New York Times fake news reports; and added "It is inexcusable, the failed Russia reporting of the New York Times," McEnany said. "And I think it’s time that the New York Times, and also the Washington Post, hand back their Pulitzers."
