The four astronauts of the Crew-8 mission on the International Space Station(ISS) boarded their SpaceX Dragon Endeavor Thursday(May2), to relocate the spacecraft to a different port on the ISS. This operation makes way for the planned arrival next week, of Starliner -- Boeing capsule's first-ever crewed mission to the space station.

Endeavour started undocking from the forward-facing port of the space station's Harmony module at 1252 UTC; and autonomously docked with Harmony's space-facing port, Zenith, at 1346 UTC.

According to NASA officials, this was the fourth such relocation for a crewed Dragon capsule at the ISS, following similar maneuvers during the Crew-1, Crew-2, and Crew-6 missions.

The upcoming Starliner's Crew Flight Test mission will send NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams to the ISS for a 10-day stay.
