UPDATE: Kamala Harris In Apparent 'Attack Dog' Role Rips Into Trump. Trump Fires Back

The senator was formally introduced Wednesday as Biden's running mate when both made their debut together inside a high school gymnasium in Wilmington, Delaware.

“I have no doubt that I picked the right person to join me as the next vice president of the United States of America, and that's Sen. Kamala Harris,” Biden said in his speech. “She’s ready to do this job on day one.”

Biden bizarrely claimed that President Trump coddles terrorists. "We're going to get to work fixing the work Trump and Pence have created, both at home and abroad, through four years of mismanagement and coddling terrorists and thugs around the world," He said.

For the record, President Trump destroyed the ISIS caliphate in Syria and Iraq, took out their leader Al Baghdadi, and Iran's terror chief Qasem Soleimani.

Harris in her own speech slammed the president over his handling of the Wuhanvirus pandemic, the economy and race relations. “As somebody who’s presented my fair share of arguments in court, the case against Donald Trump and Mike Pence is open and shut,” she claimed.

She said, “this virus has impacted almost every country but there’s a reason it hit America worse than any other advanced nation. It’s because of Trump’s failure to take it serious from the start.”

Harris falsely claimed that “the president’s mismanagement of the pandemic has plunged us into the worst economic crisis since the great depression.”

The Trump campaign fired back on Twitter, @TrumpWarRoom tweeted, "Reminder to Kamala Harris: Joe Biden presided over eight years of weak wage "growth" that left America's workers behind."

During the White House Wuhanvirus press briefing, Trump fired back at Harris. "She lied," Trump told reporters. "She said many things that weren't true."

Trump mocked Harris' failed presidential run. “She left angry, she left mad,” He said. "I was surprised he picked her because of the horrible way she talked about him, and frankly because of the way she dropped like a rock [in the primaries]. Generally speaking, you don’t want to pick somebody that went down.”

The former vice president and Democrat presidential nominee announced Tuesday, that he is picking senator Kamala Harris 55 -- United States senator from California -- as his running mate in the upcoming presidential election in November.

"I have the great honor to announce that I’ve picked @KamalaHarris -- a fearless fighter for the little guy, and one of the country’s finest public servants -- as my running mate," Biden tweeted.

In a statement on Twitter, Harris said: "@JoeBiden can unify the American people because he's spent his life fighting for us. And as president, he'll build an America that lives up to our ideals. I'm honored to join him as our party's nominee for Vice President, and do what it takes to make him our Commander-in-Chief."

President Trump responded by tweeting out an attack ad soon after the announcement that called her “phony Kamala Harris.”

In a statement, Trump campaign senior adviser Katrina Pierson said, "In her failed attempt at running for president, Kamala Harris gleefully embraced the left’s radical manifesto, calling for trillions of dollars in new taxes and backing Bernie Sanders’ government takeover of health care. She is proof that Joe Biden is an empty shell being filled with the extreme agenda of the radicals on the left.”

Biden's announcement comes 13 months after Harris implied that he is a racist during the first Democrat presidential primary debate in Miami, Florida.

Responding, the former vice president accused Harris of keeping nonviolent prisoners behind bars during her tenure as California attorney general because they were a source of cheap labor for the state.

Harris however ended up endorsing the former vice president. “I believe in Joe. I believe in Joe,” she said at a rally in Michigan on the eve of that state’s March 10 primary election.

Harris, who was elected to the Senate in 2016, was widely condemned two years later for her nasty and vicious grilling of Supreme Court justice Brett Kavanaugh during his contentious confirmation hearings.

The far left senator was a co-sponsor last year of The Green New Deal -- a ridiculous and expensive climate policy which critics mocked mercilessly. She was also an original co-sponsor of Sen. Bernie Sanders’ single-payer “Medicare-for-all” bill, which if enacted would essentially eliminate private insurance of 180 million Americans.

Biden announced in March during a one-on-one Democratic primary debate with Sen. Bernie Sanders that if he won the nomination, he’d name a woman as his running mate.

Following Tuesday's announcement, the Biden campaign said both candidates will speak Wednesday in Wilmington, Delaware, “on working together to restore the soul of the nation and fight for working families to move the country forward.”
