UPDATE: Minneapolis City Council Unanimously Approves Resolution To Abolish Police Department

The Minneapolis City Council Friday voted to replace its police department with a community-led 'public safety system.'

Far left BLM and Antifa activists have been pushing to defund law enforcement since the death of George Floyd. And last Thursday, the City Council President Lisa Bender vowed that the council will “dismantle the Minneapolis Police Department and replace it with a transformative new model of public safety.”

Five City Council members wrote in the resolution, “The murder of George Floyd on May 25, 2020, by Minneapolis police officers is a tragedy that shows that no amount of reforms will prevent lethal violence and abuse by some members of the Police Department against members of our community, especially Black people and people of color.”

The 'defund Police' campaign has attracted the support of prominent democrats including New York congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar.

In a heart-wrenching video livestream an Iowa woman reveals that her sister was shot and killed by a rioter. Initially it was reported that the shots were fired by cops.

UPDATE: CNN Reporter Pushes For More Riots

Reporting from Minneapolis, left-wing CNN reporter Sara Sidner suggests that the rioters who have been looting and shooting up innocent people, are justified in "lashing out."

Sidner said:

Oh, it’s everything. Pain is everything. Pain is everything. It has informed everything that you have seen. I know people see violence and think that people are just taking advantage of the situation and there may be some people who are. I don’t know that every single person is doing this borne out of pain, but I can tell you many people are. We’ve seen it. They don’t know what to do with that emotion so their response, especially young folks, is to lash out and one of the young folks — we talked to them on your show. You had him on your show. A young man who was from Minneapolis who said, do you see all this damage here? You don’t listen to us when we speak, so you listen to us now, don’t you? So, acting out gets attention and they know that. Because the other way hasn’t gotten them the attention. It hasn’t done anything. It hasn’t changed anything, so they’re hoping this will. Will it? I don’t know. I was in Ferguson in 2014 for three months. We’re back here again.

CNN and other left-wing media outlets have been criticized for their coverage of the riots following the death of George Floyd. They downplay the real violence the rioters are inflicting on innocent citizens and businesses.

Democrat politicians including their presumptive presidential nominee Joe Biden encourage and condone the devastating riots ravaging American liberal cities for more than a week.

UPDATE: ANTIFA Atrocities

In a blistering monologue, in which he also blasted several dithering Trump officials and weak elected Republicans, Fox news Tucker Carlson played clips of some of the most disgusting and outrageous atrocities caused by left-wing ANTIFA terrorists across the country.

The riots following the death of Floyd has continued for the second week.

UPDATE: Boss Move!

After his address to the nation announcing aggressive plan to end the riots raging across the country the president made an extraordinary visit outside the White house, across Lafayette Square, to St. Johns Episcopal Church, which caught on fire during the riots the night before.

The president stood in front of the boarded-up church and held up a Bible, flanked by top officials including Press secretary Kayleigh McEnany, senior adviser Ivanka Trump, Chief of Staff Mark Meadows and Defense Secretary Mark Esper.

UPDATE:

Trump Monday announced aggressive measures to combat the week-long riots ravaging mostly liberal democrat-run cities across the country.

Speaking to the nation from Rose Garden, the president slammed far left ANTIFA terrorists for hijacking the peaceful protests and causing mayhem.

"We cannot allow the righteous cries of peaceful protesters to be drowned out by an angry mob. The biggest victims of the rioting are peace-loving citizens in our poorest communities and as their president, I will fight to keep them safe," Trump said.

He also ripped into democrat Mayors and governors for failing to stop the mayhem. He recommended that they "deploy the National Guard in sufficient numbers that will dominate the streets."

Trump added, if a city or state refuses to take the actions that are necessary to defend the lives and properties of thier residents, then I'll deploy the United States military and quickly solve the problem for them."

The raging protests and riots following the death of the 46-year-old African-American man in Minnesota entered its fifth day Saturday.

Riots have spread to other cities across America including Atlanta, New York City, Portland, Louisville, Dallas and Detroit. Rioters burned down businesses and police stations. There were reports of widespread looting, smashing of windows and vehicles.

CNN Headquarter building in Atlanta was targeted on Friday when rioters spray-painted and broke windows. A protester climbed up onto the CNN building and waived a “black lives matter” sign as hundreds of other protesters pelted police with bottles. Protesters later threw rocks and smoke grenades into the lobby and fired BB rounds. A firecracker was also thrown at police officers barricading the CNN Center.

At a press conference, rapper and activist Killer Mike(real name Michael Santiago Render) slammed CNN for stoking hate and division. "CNN, Ted [Turner, CNN founder] did a great a great thing, I love CNN, I love the cartoon network," he said.

In an emotional rant, CNN's Van Jones called out racist white liberals who pretend to be allies of the black community.

“It’s not the racist white person, who is in the Ku Klux Klan that we have to worry about. It’s the white, liberal Hillary Clinton supporter walking her dog in Central Park who would tell you right now, 'Oh I don’t see race, race is no big deal to me, I see all people the same, I give to charities’ but the minute she sees as black man who she does not respect, or who she has a slight thought against, she weaponized race like she had been taught by the Aryan Nation,” Jones said.

Mike added, "But I'd like to say to CNN right now, karma is a motherfucker. Stop feeding fear and anger everyday. Stop making people feel so fearful, give them hope..."

White House was under a brief lockdown as U.S. Secret Service battle rioters outside the gates.

Protesters in Washington breached and spray painted the area around the complex of the Treasury department.

Reacting to the events Saturday President Trump in a series of tweets praised the the Secret service and knocked the D.C. Mayor.

He tweeted: "Great job last night at the White House by the U.S. @SecretService. They were not only totally professional, but very cool. I was inside, watched every move, and couldn’t have felt more safe. They let the 'protesters' scream & rant as much as they wanted, but whenever someone have been greeted with the most vicious dogs, and most ominous weapons, I have ever seen. That’s when people would have been really badly hurt, at least. Many Secret Service agents just waiting for action. 'We put the young ones on the front line, sir, they love it, and good practice.' As you saw last night, they were very cool & very professional. Never let it get out of hand. Thank you! On the bad side, the D.C. Mayor, @MurielBowser, who is always looking for money & help, wouldn’t let the D.C. Police get involved. 'Not their job.' Nice!"

Trump also ripped into the rioters: "The professionally managed so-called 'protesters' at the White House had little to do with the memory of George Floyd. They were just there to cause trouble. The @SecretService handled them easily ... These are 'Organized Groups' that have nothing to do with George Floyd. Sad!"

He called out Minneapolis left-wing democrat Mayor who many critics think is utterly incompetent and seems way in over his head.

Trump tweeted, "Mayor Jacob Frey of Minneapolis will never be mistaken for the late, great General Douglas McArthur or great fighter General George Patton. How come all of these places that defend so poorly are run by Liberal Democrats? Get tough and fight (and arrest the bad ones). STRENGTH! It’s ANTIFA and the Radical Left. Don’t lay the blame on others!"

Minnesota democrat Gov. Tim Walz has been hammered by residents, critics and the press for his response to the crisis. He announced Saturday a "full mobilization" of the state's National Guard - something that he said, has never been done in the 164-year history of the Minnesota National Guard.

The death of Floyd, a resident of St. Louis Park, was caught on camera Monday. The video recorded by a bystander and streamed to Facebook Live, shows police officer Derek Michael Chauvin kneeling on Floyd's neck as he repeatedly pleads "I can't breathe," while also moaning, groaning, and sobbing.

Another officer Tou Thao could be seen waving off the bystanders. Two other officers Thomas Lane and J. Alexander Kueng were also present.

Floyd and Chauvin both reportedly worked as security guards and had overlapping shifts at the Latin nightclub, El Nuevo Rodeo.
