Following his announcement of a federal vaccine mandate, President Biden responding to reporter's question Friday, about Republican governors who have threatened to sue his administration, said he's "disappointed that particularly some Republican governors have been so cavalier with the health of these kids."

Later in the day, a reporter asked Florida State Governor Ron DeSantis about the president's remarks. He called out the president for his hypocrisy on local control.

Biden administration is currently challenging DeSantis for prohibiting mask mandates in Florida schools, arguing that the governor should let local districts decide on the issue.

"This a guy who criticizes the state of Florida for protecting Parent's rights ...," The governor said. "Here he comes from Washington D.C, instituting an unprecedented mandate which even his own people have acknowledged in the past is not constitutional. That's not leadership."

DeSantis pointed out that some people who have been working throughout the pandemic -- and have natural immunity after contracting the Chinese coronavirus -- may lose their jobs over Biden's vaccine mandate.

The governor slammed Biden for saying that his patience with unvaccinated is "wearing thin."

"At the end of the day we don't live with a one-person rule in this country," DeSantis said. "We live in a constitutional system in which people's rights are respected." He said that the Biden administration will ultimately lose in the court.
