Court Gives Elon Musk Until Oct. 28 To Complete His Deal To Buy Twitter

In a filing on Thursday, with Delaware’s Court of Chancery, Elon Musk requested that Twitter drop its litigation against him so he could secure financing and consummate the deal to buy on its original terms by October 28.

“Twitter will not take yes for an answer. Astonishingly, they have insisted on proceeding with this litigation, recklessly putting the deal at risk and gambling with their stockholders’ interests,” Musk's lawyer, Alex Spiro said in the filing.

In response, Twitter filed with the court later in the day, saying it doubts Musk's intentions, and asking the court to not stay the trial, arguing that Musk should be ready to close on the deal regardless of the litigation's status. “Until Defendants commit to close as required, Twitter is entitled to its day in Court,” they said.

Delaware Chancery Judge Kathaleen St. J. McCormick, granted Musk's request to stay the trial but offered the condition that the transaction needs to be done by 5PM on October 28. If it doesn't happen by then, she will set a new date for a trial.

Teen, Two Others Facing Rape And Murder Charges In Death Of A Father

According to South Yorkshire Police, Adam Clapham 31, was pronounced dead on the scene, after emergency services at an address in Spring Street, Rotherham on Monday, and found him unresponsive.

"Officers were called to reports of concern for a man at around 10.48am on Monday (19 September) on Spring Street," police said in a statement. "Upon arrival, 31-year-old Adam Clapham, was found unresponsive and was sadly confirmed dead at the scene."

The statement continues, "Robert Crookes, 31, of no fixed address, Lynette Myers, 38, of Hounsfield Crescent, Rotherham, and a 16-year-old boy who cannot be named due to legal reasons, have all been charged with murder, false imprisonment, section 18 grievous bodily harm and oral rape. Martin Shaw, 43, of Norfolk Street, Rotherham, has also been charged with assisting an offender." The accused appeared at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on Friday September 23.

Clapham was a father to a young daughter.

Father Shoots At 'Peeping Tom' Caught Looking At Daughter Through Bedroom Window

The suspect was reportedly spotted by the girl at about 10:30 p.m., Wednesday, outside her window. She immediately left the room and told her father, who went outside their home in the northwest part of San Antonio, Texas, to confront the 'Peeping Tom.'

The father told police that the suspect then lunged at him with a knife. He shot at the man several times.

The Peeping Tom fled from the scene by the time police arrived. Officers did not find anyone in the area at the time with reports of gunshot wounds.

According to authorities, the father will not be charged for firing his gun at the suspect. It is still an active investigation.

13-year-old Facing Charges After Bringing Fentanyl To School Causing An Employee To Overdose

A supervisor at Chipman Junior High School, Bakersfield, California, on Friday, discovered the deadly pills during a search conducted on the teen suspect in an unrelated altercation with another student. Apparently the supervisor opened the pill bottle to check it and inadvertently overdosed on the pills due to them being an "inhalation hazard."

Narcan was administered to the supervisor, who was then transferred to a local hospital and was listed in stable condition.

Bakersfield Police Department reportedly responded Friday, after the school reported that a student was in possession of about 150 fentanyl pills disguised as Percocet. The 13-year-old also had about $300 on his person, though BPD could not immediately say if any of the pills were sold or given to another student.

The suspect was charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of sales and was taken to a juvenile hall after the arrest. Investigation was still ongoing.

Congresswoman Liz Cheney(R-Wyoming) lost 28% - 50% in Tuesday's Republican primary election, to her opponent Harriet Hageman who was endorsed by former president Donald Trump.

The liberal Republican congresswoman has been a bitter political foe of the former president, and voted to impeach him early last year. She also serves in the discredited January Committee investigating the Capitol Protest. In her widely-mocked concession speech Tuesday night, she brazenly compared herself to popular former United States president Abraham Lincoln.

Trump took to social media late Tuesday to hail Hageman's win, and slam Cheney. "Congratulations to Harriet Hageman on her great and very decisive WIN in Wyoming," he wrote. "This is a wonderful result for America, and a complete rebuke of the Unselect Committee of political Hacks and Thugs. Liz Cheney should be ashamed of herself, the way she acted, and her spiteful, sanctimonious words and actions towards others. Now she can finally disappear into the depths of political oblivion where, I am sure, she will be much happier than she is right now. Thank you WYOMING!"

Supreme Court of The United States SCOTUS, in a ruling last month overturned Roe v. Wade -- a decades-old unconstitutional abortion ruling -- leaving abortion regulation up to the states. The court's majority opinion in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization which was authored by Justice Samuel Alito, ruled that there is no constitutional right to kill an unborn baby.

The ruling drew criticisms from world leaders including British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Prince Harry and French President Emmanuel Macron.

During a July 21 speech delivered at a Notre Dame Law School conference on religious liberty in Rome, Alito called out Johnson, Macron, and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for their past remarks blasting the SCOTUS ruling.

“Over the last few weeks since I had the honor this term of writing, I think the only Supreme Court decision in the history of that institution that has been lambasted by a whole string of foreign leaders who felt perfectly fine commenting on American law,” Alito said to loud laughter. “One of these was former Prime Minister Boris Johnson. But he paid the price.” Johnson recently resigned as leader of his Conservative Party, and will resign as PM after a new leader is elected in the fall.

Unilever CEO Wants Ben & Jerry's To Stay Out Of Israel-Palestine Politics

Woke ice cream maker Ben & Jerry’s last year controversially announced that it would halt sales in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, in support of the global antisemitic 'BDS' boycott movement against Israel.

The ice cream maker's corporate parent company Unilever has since sold its Israel division to a local franchisee Avi Zinger who plans to resume doing business in West Bank and East Jerusalem.

“There is plenty for Ben & Jerry’s to get their teeth into on their social justice mission without straying into geopolitics,” Unilever CEO Alan Jope told The Wall Street Journal on Tuesday. “I’m sure the brand will continue to enjoy a very bright future doing just that.”

Jope said the Vermont-based ice cream maker should instead focus on climate change and social justice issues.

Ben & Jerry’s earlier this month, filed a lawsuit requesting that a federal judge in Manhattan issue a preliminary injunction blocking the sale of the brand to Zinger. The ice cream maker and Unilever then agreed to a two-week mediation period to see if the two sides can strike a deal to avoid litigation.

Ben & Jerry's will continue seeking an injunction if no agreement is reached by Thursday. But despite the lawsuit, Jope said that Unilever has no plans to sell off the ice cream maker.

Joe Biden Contracts Chinese Coronavirus, Amid Concerns Over His Senility

The 79-year-old American president on Thursday tested positive for the Chinese coronavirus infection, just days after returning from meetings in Saudi Arabia with Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman.

The president’s physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, said in a statement that Biden “is currently experiencing mild symptoms, mostly rhinorrhea (or ‘runny hose’) and fatigue, with an occasional dry cough, which started yesterday evening.”

The oldest-ever American president posted a photo of himself on social media, writing, “Folks, I’m doing great. Thanks for your concern. Just called [Pennsylvania Sen. Bob] Casey, Congressman [Matt] Cartwright, and [Scranton] Mayor [Paige] Cognetti (and my Scranton cousins!) to send my regrets for missing our event today. Keeping busy!”

Biden released a video message Thursday afternoon, saying in a raspy voice, “Hey folks, I guess you heard. This morning I tested positive for COVID.”

“But I’ve been double-vaccinated and double-boosted, the symptoms are mild and I really appreciate your inquiries and your concerns. But I’m doing well and getting a lot of work done, gonna continue to get it done."

In a letter update Friday, O’Connor said the president's "symptoms have improved," and that he "completed his first full day of PAXLOVID last night."

Critics online pointed out that Biden and other administration officials had falsely claimed last year, that the coronavirus vaccine would prevent the contraction of the virus. He had received four shots of Pfizer’s vaccine, but that did not help apparently.

Greenwood Park Mall Shooting: Good Guy With A Gun Stopped The Shooter

The gunman opened fire inside Greenwood Park Mall in Indiana on Sunday evening. He had a long rifle with several magazines of ammunition, according to police, and began firing at the food court at around 6pm local time, before armed 22-year-old Elisjsha Dicken shot back and killed the gunman.

“We believe at this time, investigators are still questioning the individual involved, but it appears that a good Samaritan who was armed observed the shooting in progress and shot the shooter,” Greenwood Police Chief Jim Ison said during a press conference. He the person is cooperating fully.

Four people including the shooter are dead, and 2 were injured, according to police.

Ison identified the good Samaritan who shot the gunman, only as a 22-year-old man from Bartholomew County, which is about 35 miles south of the mall, adding that he was lawfully carrying a gun.

In a statement, Mayor Mark Myers praised the 22-year-old's actions. “Someone we are calling the ‘good Samaritan’ was able to shoot the assailant and stop further bloodshed,” he said. “I am grateful for his quick action and heroism in this situation.”

“I’ve been a police officer most of my life,” Myers said of the shooting in an interview. “Still, this is incredibly shocking, to not only me but our entire community.”

Former Treasury Secretary and Harvard Professor Larry Summers made the remarks Friday, in an interview with Bloomberg. The economist said the Fed “lost its way” by talking about the environment and social justice while dismissing inflation concerns.

“I think in 2021, our central bank lost its way," Summers said. "It was talking about the environment. It was talking about social justice in a range of things. It was confidently dismissing concerns about inflation as transitory, and it made mistakes in the core functioning of a central bank, including leaning into highly expansive fiscal policies rather than accommodating them as our central bank did. So, I don’t think we were…asking too much of our central bank. But I think, in 2021, our central bank let us down quite badly. And as a consequence, they find themselves in a very, very difficult position, not least because they don’t have the credibility that they once enjoyed, given their repeated poor forecasting record.”

He continued, “And I have to say that it’s not something that’s been fully fixed. Their most recent dot plot is suggesting that unemployment would get to — get only to 4.1%, even as inflation came completely down. That seemed to me to be highly implausible. And the fact that the most pessimistic person of the 19-member Open Market Committee was saying 4.5% seemed to me to suggest a degree of highly problematic groupthink.”

Florida Homeowner Opens Fire On Home Invaders [Video]

A security footage released by Escambia County Sheriff’s Office shows 3 men gathering and chatting in front of a residence on July 7. Then one of them opens the door and shoves the homeowner inside.

One of the suspects can be seen standing guard outside with what appears to be a pistol, while two suspects barged in.

According to police, the homeowner dropped his gun while trying to fend off the attack. The pistol was picked up by one of the suspects.

The homeowner managed to scramble to another part of the house where he kept additional firearms and opened fire, sending the assailants on the run for dear lives. They fled in a nearby getaway car driven by a fourth suspect, according to police.

Sheriff Chip Simmons said the homeowner will not face any charges for shooting at the invaders. “If someone breaks into my front door, barges in and attacks me or my family, they are going to get shot,” he told Fox News. “I afford that same consideration to the residents of my county.”

Suspects Da’Torrance Hackworth, 20, and Antonio Dewayne Dean Jr., 18, have been arrested. Another, Joseph Roman Sanders, 18, remains at large, according to police. Officers are still trying to identify a fourth suspect.

Elon Musk Had Twins Last Year With Shivon Zilis, A Top Executive Of His Company

According to a recently revealed court document, Shivon Zilis, 36 had twins last November, with the world's richest man and SpaceX CEO. She is the head of his neurotechnology firm Neuralink.

The couple filled a petition last May in Austin, Texas, to change the twins' names in order to ‘"have their father’s last name and contain their mother’s last name as part of their middle name,'” according to Daily Wire. The order was approved by a judge.

The twins were born weeks before Musk and Claire Boucher(a.k.a. Grimes) had their second child via surrogate in December.

The world's richest man has fathered children with three other women. Zilis' twins bring the number of children he has to 9 including Nevada, Griffin, Xavier, Kai, Saxon, Damian, X AE A-Xii, and Exa Dark Sideræl.

Zilis reportedly met Musk 51, through her work with OpenAI, the artificial-intelligence research nonprofit he cofounded in 2015. She moved to Tesla In 2017, where she was a project director. She is currently the director of operations and special projects for Neuralink.

The 36-year-old has reportedly defended Musk on social media as he has recently become the target of left-wing online mob and politicians since he announced he will be voting for Republicans in this year's elections.

Boris Johnson Fires Top Minister Michael Gove, Amid Calls For The British PM To Resign Over Deluge Of Scandals

The prime minster is facing renewed calls Wednesday to resign, even from his own party members of parliament(MPs) following the latest scandal over his handling of sexual misconduct claims against former deputy chief whip Chris Pincher.

At least 42 ministers and aides have quit in the past day, including senior ministers Sajid Javid and Rishi Sunak. Former ally and Housing and Communities Secretary Michael Gove also called for the PM to resign.

Home Secretary Priti Patel and Nadhim Zahawi, who was just appointed as chancellor, were reportedly believed to be among a group who visited No 10 and urged Johnson to resign. While another group -- including allies Nadine Dorries and Jacob Rees-Mogg reportedly visited to show support for the PM.

Attorney General and 'Brexiteer' Suella Braverman has also called on the prime minister to resign -- and said she'd stand for potential Conservative Party leadership election.

Johnson appears at least for now, determined to stay on. He fired Gove, and is reportedly planning a cabinet reshuffle.

Many Tory members fear the prime minster's refusal to resign will hurt the party in the next elections. Others claim he will have to resign within weeks, even as early as this week.

Johnson's liberal policies have alienated many conservatives and populists who see his government as no different than what a typical woke left-wing Labor Party government would be.

Woke Employee Fired For Refusing To Work, While "Mourning" Supreme Court Abortion Ruling

Michael Lopez, a production coordinator at Universal Music Enterprises was apparently so extremely triggered by the Supreme Court's recent abortion ruling, that he took to 'mourning' the decision instead of doing his day job.

“Last Friday, like countless other folks, I was devastated by the news of the supreme court’s [sic] attack on abortion rights,” Lopez wrote on LinkedIn last week. “Paired with the flood of anti-queer and anti-trans legislation, it’s been hard to process how company’s [sic] expect us to be productive while our rights are being stripped away.”

Lopez explains that each Friday “one of my tasks was to process reports for upcoming releases” and then to email his work to 275 people. But instead of doing the usual process reports, he wrote an email that read: “I didn’t do them today. I’m in mourning due to the attack on people with uteruses in the US. Federally guaranteed access to abortion is gone. Vivendi and Universal Music Group must stop donating to anti-abortion, anti-queer and anti-trans politicians. Politicians like Marsha Blackburn, Ken Buck, Victoria Spartz, etc. Or expect more unproductive days.” He signed off with “Yours in fury, Michael Lopez.”

The whiny 'entitled' woke activist said he was told by a manager to “take the rest of the day off,” following his email rant. He found out he has been terminated during a zoom call with HR when he returned to work the following Monday.

“I was being let go for (paraphrasing) ‘Not doing your job, disrupting the day of 275 people and poor judgement’,” Lopez wrote. He said he sent a “follow up” to the email list, informing his colleagues.

“Just got fired for this email from Friday, so they’re letting you know where they stand on employees speaking out on politicians that support marginalization for folks like me,” he reportedly wrote, according to his LinkedIn post. “A brown queer person terminated during Pride month speaking in support of abortion rights. Seems like that’s exactly what America is all about right now.”

Universal Music Group is apparently not woke enough.

The Biden administration has been blaming the results of his failed policies on everyone and everything but itself. “My message to the companies running gas stations and setting prices at the pump is simple: this is a time of war and global peril,” Biden tweeted on Saturday. “Bring down the price you are charging at the pump to reflect the cost you’re paying for the product. And do it now.”

The post drew swift criticism and mockery on social media. Market analysts have pointed to the administration's economy-ruining green energy policies and flooding the market with trillions in printed dollars -- among other bad policy decisions -- as the main causes of high inflation.

Bezos later commented on the president's tweet: “Ouch. Inflation is far too important a problem for the White House to keep making statements like this. It’s either straight ahead misdirection or a deep misunderstanding of basic market dynamics.”

During an appearance on Fox News Sunday, Biden's National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby was asked about Bezos' tweet. He rejected the idea that the president is trying to distract or misdirect the American people by blaming the oil & gas industry.

"Anybody who knows President Biden knows he’s plainspoken," Kirby said. "And he tells you exactly what he’s thinking and in terms that everybody can understand. So I think we obviously take great exception at the idea that this is somehow misdirection."

“Are you throwing out any support towards anyone or are you gonna hold off?” Carano asked Rogan, regarding the 2024 elections. “Didn’t [SpaceX CEO]Elon Musk, come out recently for DeSantis?”

“I think Ron DeSantis would work as a good president,” Rogan replied referring to the Florida governor's handling of the coronavirus pandemic. “I mean, what he’s done for Florida has been admirable.”

“I feel like I’m doing breaking news right now that wasn’t even on purpose,” Carano laughed.

“I feel like what he did for Florida, a lot of people gave him a lot of grief, but ultimately he was correct,” Rogan said. “He was correct when it comes to like deaths, he was correct. And when it comes to protecting all vulnerable populations, he was correct in terms of distribution of monoclonal antibodies.”

The podcaster commentator continued: “He was furious when the government tried to pull those, they were trying to pull very effective treatments. You know, he is not perfect. He’s a human being, but, um, what he’s done is stand up for freedoms. Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell Warns About Recession; Debunks Biden's "Putin Price Hike" Spin On Inflation

Powell made the comments Wednesday, at the Senate Banking Committee’s hearing on monetary policy and economic issues, in Washington D.C.

United States President Joe Biden falsely blames the country's economic woes on factors like Russia-Ukraine war, and without evidence, on price gouging in the oil & gas industry. Administration officials dishonestly call current high inflation 'Putin price hike.'

However, economists have debunked such claims, pointing out that Biden's green energy policy is the root cause of the high inflation and imminent recession ailing the economy.

“I realize there are a number of factors that play a role in the historic inflation that we’re experiencing," Senator Bill Hagerty(R-Tennessee) said at the hearing Wednesday. "Supply chain disruptions, regulations that constrain supply, we’ve got rising inflation expectations and excessive fiscal spending. But the problem hasn’t sprung out of nowhere. In January of 2021, inflation was at 1.4%. By December of 2021, it had risen to 7%, a five-fold increase.”

Hagerty continued: “Now, since the war in Ukraine began in late February, the rate of inflation has risen incrementally, another 1.6% to a current level of 8.6%. So again, from 7% to 8.6%. Given how inflation has escalated over the past 18 months, would you say that the war in Ukraine is the primary driver of inflation in America?”

Powell responded: “No inflation was high before, certainly before the war in Ukraine broke out.”

“I’m glad to hear you say that,” Hagerty replied. “The Biden administration seems to be intent on deflecting blame annd as recently as just this past Sunday spread the misinformation that Putin’s invasion of Ukraine is the biggest single driver of inflation. I’m glad you agree with me that that is not the truth.”

Powell also admitted at the hearing, that the feds' effort to tame inflation by raising rates, could trigger a recession.

“It’s certainly a possibility,” Mr. Powell said. “We are not trying to provoke and do not think we will need to provoke a recession, but we do think it’s absolutely essential” to tame inflation.

Rapper Lil Tjay Shot And Critically Injured

The 22-year-old (real name Tione Jayden Merritt) was reportedly shot around midnight local time Wednesday, at The Promenade shopping center in Edgewater, New Jersey.

According to TMZ, the shootings happened at 2 sites -- at a Chipotle Restaurant and at a nearby Exxon Gas station. The victim at the former was shot several times, while the one at the latter was shot once.

Bergen County Prosecutor's Office said in a statement that two 22-year-olds were shot at The Promenade shopping center at around 12:05 a.m. One victim was found with multiple gunshot wounds at the scene, which was outside a Chipotle. Another was found at a nearby Exxon station on River Road with a single gunshot wound.

Prosecutors said one victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition but is now stable and the other was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries and is in "good" condition.

Lil Tjay is reportedly out of surgery and is recovering.

Musk has made clear in his tweets that he is not a fan of what he calls the "woke mind virus," which he recently blamed for streaming giant Netflix's "unwatchable" content. He once said in an interview with Babylon Bee that: "At its heart, wokeness is divisive, exclusionary, and hateful. It basically gives mean people a shield to be mean and cruel, armored in false virtue."

During a ride in his home state of Delaware Saturday, the United States president fell down from his bicycle. Video clips of the fall quickly went viral online.

The video shows Biden stop in front of a waiting crowd before he tumbled to the ground. Secret Service agents quickly swarmed him, and helped him up. The First Lady Jill Biden was reportedly riding further along, and missed the moment her husband fell.

It was not immediately clear if the president sustained any injuries. "I'm good," he reportedly said when asked if he was ok.

“As the President said, his foot got caught on the pedal while dismounting and he is fine," a White House official said in a statement. "No medical attention is needed. The President looks forward to spending the rest of the day with his family.”

This is not the first time Biden has stumbled physically in public. He tripped twice and then fell while climbing a stairway to board Air Force One at Joint Base Andrews Base in March last year. Critics have long argued that he is obviously senile, frail and cognitively unfit to be president.

Dutch Intelligence Disrupts Attempt By Russian Spy To Infiltrate ICC

According to a press release by Dutch intelligence service AIVD, Russian GRU agent Sergey Vladimirovich Cherkasov, 36, had claimed to be a 33-year-old Brazilian citizen named Viktor Muller Ferreira.

Authorities also released what they call the spy's 'legend,' likely written by him, including fictitious details of troubled father relationship, crush on a teacher, and addresses of his favorite restaurant and trance music club in Brasilia.

Cherkasov was declared a threat to national security and refused entry to the Netherlands in April.

Had he succeed in infiltrating the International Criminal Court, ICC which is probing war crimes in Ukraine, the Russian spy would have been able to gather intelligence or recruit sources, access the court's digital systems and "might also have been able to influence criminal proceedings of the ICC."

EU Reaches Agreement On Legislation Mandating USB-C For Phones And Other Devices By 2024

The rule will apply to electronic devices including tablets, digital cameras, headphones, handheld video game consoles, and e-readers. Laptops will have to comply with the rule at a later date. The legislation also includes provisions designed to address wireless chargers in the future, as well as harmonizing fast-charging standards.

An agreement on the scope of the legislation which has been under development for over a decade, was reached this week following negotiations between different EU bodies.

“Today we have made the common charger a reality in Europe!” said the European Parliament’s rapporteur Alex Agius Saliba in a press statement. “European consumers were frustrated long with multiple chargers piling up with every new device. Now they will be able to use a single charger for all their portable electronics.”

Upon approval later this year by the EU Parliament and Council, the law will be in place “by autumn 2024,” according to European Parliament press release. All devices covered by the law and sold in the EU will have to use USB-C for wired charging, by this date.

While phone manufacturers will have 24 months after the legislation is adopted this summer to adapt their devices, that deadline is longer for laptop-makers: 40 months.

Critics say the new legislation will stifle innovation. But the EU disagrees, saying it will update the legislation as new technology is developed.

“Don’t think we’re setting something in stone for the next 10 years,” Thierry Breton, commissioner for the EU’s internal market, told the press. “We have a standard that is being developed, and we have a dedicated team that will keep a close eye on all this and adapt as time goes by. We will evolve.”

While Android manufacturers have converged upon micro USB and then USB-C as the common charging standard of choice, Apple which has raised concerns over the EU legislation, went from offering phones with its proprietary 30-pin connector to Lightning.

However Apple's concerns may be mute as manufacturers adopt wireless charging as standard. Also the company is reportedly testing iPhones with USB-C internally, and could make the switch as early as next year. It already uses the USB-C standard on laptops and some tablets.

Boris Johnson Pushes Ahead After Surviving No-Confidence Vote

Following revelations that the British prime minister, other parliamentarians and staff were hosting “wine-time Fridays”  during the peak in 2020, of coronavirus lockdown restrictions across the nation, opposition party members and some members of his own Conservative Party, have called for his resignation.

Johnson reportedly encouraged aides to “let off steam” despite indoor socializing being banned under lockdown rules.” “The regular event was so popular that staff even invested in a £142 drinks fridge to keep their bottles of white wine, Prosecco and beer cool.”

The prime minister was subsequently fined for breaking his own lockdown rules, and he had publicly apologized.

At least 15 per cent of Conservative Party Members of Parliament had to write a letter saying they no longer support Johnson, to trigger the no-confidence vote. To survive the vote, Johnson needed 50% of his MPs’ support plus one (180 votes).

He indeed survived the no-confidence vote Monday night: 211 to 148, Sir Graham Brady Chairman of the 1922 Committee of Tory backbenchers, announced. However the numbers were far worse than Downing Street had hoped -- raising questions about Johnson's ability to govern going forward.

During a meeting with Cabinet Tuesday, Johnson told senior ministers to  "get on with the job," urging them to push the "massive agenda" of Levelling Up investment.

"We are able now to draw a line under the issues that our opponents want to talk about," the prime minister said, referencing the opposition Labor Party.
